    Please don’t do cheap on uggs, I did they end up smelly faster.
    Real uggs are made by Aussie owned small business families. The skill and experience involved in creating them is worth the $ . Personally I am saving for a pair after wasting about 60 on couple cheapies that fell apart.

      Melbourne is less of a holiday destination, but the best place to live.......a couple weeks in a holiday isnt enough to understand why people love living here.

  • @LordDavid04
    @LordDavid04 Před 6 lety +2

    Of course you still go to Eureka Skydeck. It's the touristy thing to do. If you went to Paris, you'd go to the Eiffel Tower or Tour Montparnasse (or both), but certainly not a rooftop bar/restaurant. You might do that in addition to the landmarks, but you still would go to the landmark itself.
    If you wanted a free view of the city, simply go to the Shire of Remembrance and go to the top of that.

    • @rachelandnick
      @rachelandnick  Před 6 lety +1

      Not everyone can afford to go to Eureka Skydeck and I've been to the top of the Shire of remembrance too. The view wasn't the same as the view i see from Naked for Satan's rooftop bar. In my opinion, the view was nice but very flat like you would see from Yarra river.

    • @LordDavid04
      @LordDavid04 Před 6 lety

      If you're a proper tourist, you'll save up so you can go to these admission only places. Or try and find a discount somewhere. When I went to Berlin I went on the observation deck (and revolving restaurant) of the Fernsehturm. There's just iconic landmarks you gotta go to.
      On that note, avoid Southern Star Observation Wheel at all costs, unless you just have to go there to complete that checklist of being on all the major observation wheels from around the world. The view is just awful. Docklands was the wrong location, it should have been at Birrarung Marr.

    • @nickroberts3658
      @nickroberts3658 Před 5 lety

      I agree a rooftop bar has nothing on the 88 floor skydeck but afterall it's just an idea...

      @@november132 What you don't want to save money by finding an attraction price cheaper online?
      No one's forcing you to go anywhere, but you save money with online purchases, coupons and the like.

    • @kalliste01
      @kalliste01 Před 7 lety +2

      I like the street art which has obviously changed each time I go. I like going over to the library and seeing what exhibitions they have on or watching people play chess outside.
      I'll definitely be looking for rooftop bars on my next trip! I've considered Eureka in the past but never gone through with it.

      Visit Williamstown in winter! Fewer tourists when it's cold. Maybe get the beach to yourself. See the yatches at rest and admire the city and St Kilda from across the bay.

      If your thinking of staying in that area I recommend Albert Park which is super close to the city but also has a small beach and is close to South Melbourne. Also I personally think the best beach fairly close to Melbourne is Chelsea beach :-) - Nic

    • @LordDavid04
      @LordDavid04 Před 6 lety

      If you intend to venture out to the suburbs, then yes get a daily ticket. Otherwise, if you stay in the CBD (hotel/apartment/whatever) the free tram zone is in effect. You can also pretty much walk if you wanted to. Only get a Myki if you intend to travel out to the suburbs by rail or tram.

      Why would you want the cheap Ugg? There's Ugg stores world wide, but shop around, you can find genuine Uggs at slightly more reasonable prices. Even then, you'd still fork out the money for that one time souvenir. Otherwise, just buy online on eBay. You might find a bargain there.
