Why You Should Skip Sonder Hotels

Here's why I would never stay at Sonder Hotels again.
Sonder has the worst service: if you want so much as a clean towel, you have to message someone on the app, but there was no internet in the hotel for 3 days!
Then, there was black mold all over the bathroom ceiling. After sneezing and wheezing for 5 days, they cleaned and painted over it.
There is no clean drinking water in the hotel bc they took the water cooler out today. And so you have to go get your own water.
And they wouldn't just give me a clean set of sheets or towels that were sitting on the floor in the lobby. I had to message customer service on the app and THEN, they said they would provide "a clean towel" within 12 hours.
I would never stay with Sonder again. They have centralized management and virtually useless on-site staff who don't do anything but say, "Sorry, I can't do that. You'll have to message the app."

Wow! That is terrible! I feel bad for recommending Sonder to you. My experience with them has been excellent. I stayed in that same location you are in (in the last room to the right of that front desk), and it was great. It even had a little private garden! I also stayed in New Orleanns for a month (an amazing loft), in Barcelona for a week, in Detroit for a month, etc. I have booked both fully apartments and rooms like the one you are in now. The app-based customer service worked great for me but, from what you relate, actually in person customer service may be locality-dependent. I trust you alerted Sonder corporate that the fokls at the CDMX Tonala location are not doing a good job! I hope they see this video and refund you!! Sorry it my recommendation did not pan out as I expected.

Sonder contacted me and change me to a different property. So, I would agree with you now, that Sonder is a decent place to stay, but not Sonder Casa Tonala.
