Iskall, you forgot to check the level up on your new ax as well. You leveled it up twice outside the vault, but remember it has 4 levels on it. So you leveled it up again with this boss fight too.

Loved the tier list strategy for showing your loot. Much easier to follow and understand what was important.
When you have moved to your permanent base then i suggest that off-camera at the end of each episode you should make your old base look abandoned and ruined by a tiny bit

Iskall given how frustrating those spider rooms were when you did the cake 3 cake runs, have you thought about making some of the more frustrating rooms only appear after you reach a certain vault level for each of the different types of vaults so that new players experience a slight difficulty progression as they get farther
Honestly I would say just limit the frustrating rooms (like the spider room) to only happen once. That seems more fair and doesn't make it to easy at the beginning.

@@georgesmith6454 except in a cake run you can't avoid a frustrating or super difficult rooms(discounting rooms made more difficult by bad luck of getting stacked up with like 3 weakened and difficult and a few crowded modifiers) at least not without bailing and well I guess personally the way I see it is if you have a really good or really fun run and then you get a room that is like running into a brick wall that just ruins it and sure the first few times you accept it cuz that's how things roll but if it keeps happening and happening with or without some kind of consistency then it begins to feel alot more like its you against the developers or gm or whoever rather than a game the keeps you challenged and having fun then that's just shit game design, you never want your players to just feel like the developer is just trying to deliberately antagonize them other wise you just lose your player base

I am glad I was able to catch the stream. At one point I fell asleep (I was tired) watching the stream and I dreamt about watching you run vaults then I woke up after a while and continued watching you run vaults. It was fun!
Been playing it since first episode and I just wanted to share a few small tips. Feel free to ignore me if you feel you have a handle on things. One thing I noticed is that you want to try and gather villagers fairly fast but also from a few places. This gives you the chance to find a few waystones for later, and allows you to have some work stations for them too. Also, try to figure out where and what you want to build so that you can have a safe place for them all. I am working on a deepslate castle fort myself. One last thing is that it helps to find a ravine or chasm since those would let you get down deeper faster to look for diamonds and other ores.
Hope this helps others who are interested in playing or have already started. Have fun everyone!

Iskall! Same lass who recommended the wither cloud for frenzy vaults. With reach you can reach both corners of the puzzle room from the same pillar
What is the max reach?
I know of the reach skill, and the ring of pride from botania, but clearly those won't be enough

I got to watch the whole stream live and it was super fun! It's funny, I hadn't watched the episode that announced the stream yet, I just happened to check Twitch at the exact right moment. This series as a whole has been great. You've done a really good job of explaining every little thing about Vault Hunters as you go and made it easy to understand to someone totally unfamiliar with it.

Iskall, after watching the entirety of your strem I think a good change for cake vaults would be to make it so you can only get each room once per run to help prevent things like double spider rooms

It would be good if dispensers could use things like booster packs, and other random loot boxes. Then he could just load them into a machine and look through the items.
