1979 Yamaha YZ250 project

My son and I are in the process of restoring a 1979 YZ 250.
It is in very good to excellent condition. Keep checking back to see our progress. I have been riding Yamaha since I was 8 years old, back in 1979. I started out with a Yamaha JT1 60 cc enduro, then onto a 1979 YZ 125, then onto a 1984 YZ 125 then onto a 1987 YZ 125. I am very knowledgeable when it comes to the older Yamaha bikes. Have you ever rebuilt a Yamaha 2 stroke oil injection pump? I have, and I believe if you can do it in less than 15 tries without tools, a microscope, or 8 arms and without doing it inside of a plastic bag you should be considered gifted! We have a small collection of Yamaha bikes and quads.... more to come! (my friend Eugene Murray and I used to ride a lot with our Yamaha 60 mini enduros back in the day and he had a YZ 250 later on that he was wild on, where are you Eugene?! )

I looked at a bike just like that one (year, size,etc). Is there any way to lower it via the suspension? It’s a little tall for me.
