Yeah, really enjoyed it! I like the composition of the armies, they seem balanced and equally footed, something I've taken issue with with the likes of Miniwargaming in the past. They do good batreps, but it often seems like things are tailored to win. Do you have a Facebook page, Twitter, etc? I've got a few friends who enjoy Warhammer batreps and I think your content will be just up their street, too.
I absolutely agree with you. we love playing balanced games that present a tactical challenge to the players rather than overpowered armies that play the game for you. I'm hoping that 8th edition addresses some of the issues with he use of formations and cheese like that. I had seen your previous battle reports when you faced Fists and the Guardsmen, I think it's well deserved that you got a victory in this one. Please keep sharing this lovely content. I'm so glad I had found another Ork enthusiast who shares such quality content. Probably the following will be obvious, but needless to say, do you know StrikingScorpion82's channel? He has Orks as well, but he uses a pretty different list from yours (kinda a Kult of Speed themed army). I'd love to see how your Orks improve in the next edition of the game! Last, but not least, keep up with those amazing gaming tables! Your terrain is great. You know what would be a really interesting battlefield to try and play a game on. A skyscraper fight that had like two or three layers that you can fight along using stairs, half-collapsed roofing and scaffolding. A real tight and clustered map as well, like a 3x3 or even 2x2 with tons of cover and shot-blockers to fight around and use.
as much of a piano fan as I am, was strange to have an ork mob introduced to soothing keystrokes. imagining orks in smoking jackets in a lounge somewhere I say git, those two squads you have there, by chance do they have eavy armor? by mork good sir you are right! and though that truck looks loik a proper battlewagon I assure you it's merely a snazzed up trukk. Wow dem nids do... love the colour scheme! Both armies beautifully painted as always. Love the narrative driven games by the way - I hate it when people play random/meaningless objectives, it really takes away from the immersion in my opinion.

I really enjoy these battle reports, altough i dont know much about the rules. I would like more space marines (i just thinl they look the best), but i also LOVE orks. But thats not the point. I would like to ask you: how many armies do you have?

The Carnifex still had his feel no pain from Catalyst during the combat vs the Killa Kans btw, could have survived and wiped the unit next combat round, especially with one of them missing it's Klaw and being on one hull point.
It's pretty tough to keep up with all the buffs and debuffs when psychic heavy lists are on the table. After playing an Eldar vs Grey Knights game and forgetting half the spells I immediately ordered a bunch of tokens.
Actually they’re not my nids, they’re Steve’s. But he has very dark blue armour with a dull black brown flesh. I think he drybrushed the flesh with a light brown over black and then shades with brown shade. The armour is painted the darkest of blues and then highlighted with progressively brighter blues. He is also colour blind 😊
Emperor's Crusade ha ha cool, thanks for the clarification. I took screenshots and had a chat with folks at local Gw store. Settled on a dryad bark brown skin and a Naggaroth night blue for the armour. Thanks for the inspiration guys.
Your last comment was interesting... should a game of 40k be easy on our brains? That's debatable... if you like complexity and depth then no. If you prefer simplified, quick and easy, then yes. Depends which one you value more really!
im talking more about an unnecessary level of layered rules that most editioned have had before 8th. things like workibg through the levels of initiative in combat and how many attacks each get etc etc etc.. its not so much a lack of detail i enjoy but more a lack of excessive rules. such is the evolution of every game system. things get smoother abd smoother in time. more time to focus on the amazing stories and unforgetable moments unfolding as each game progresses 😊

Haha yeah I love how Steve's painted them and modeled them. turns out I accidentally broke the guardsmen off with the mic cable during the game 😖
