The 96-98 version had perfected the jump shot, best mid-range ever seen. The 91-93 version was more aggressive, more impressive dunks and physically stronger. Not sure if it was better overall though. I recall Horace Grant saying on an interview that "people are talking about Lebron being strong. They don't realise how strong MJ was. He was coming for a dunk at you, he was as powerful as a centre!".
