I'm not sure, but I think Bond is not dead. They will resurrect Bond. However, whether the film makers are successful in cajolling Daniel Craig to return back to another instalment in the series is yet to be seen. This is merely my opinion. Whatever happens ultimately will be for the best.

I too was brought up on Bond. Connery set the standard. Craig met it.
I think any Bond has to have a somewhat cold, calculating mindset, and Elba would fit the bill.
I was raised on Connery and Moore. Craig is best! Some old timers like me may have harsh words to say against that, but its just fact. Sometimes original is not always best.
I wanted Elba for a long time to get the job, but this looks a bit more than a bomb on Rotten Tomatoes.
