      For the top of the line models on larger gauges, sure. Always has been. For regular gauges like H0 there's plenty of affordable Märklin stuff, especially if you shop around for 2nd hand items.

      @@stevethomas-cc5lz I got a used (more or less new) Märklin digital starter set for €150, 2 additional second hand locos, a bunch of track and a few switches and signals, some rolling stock, along with 2 digital decoders (for non digital switches / signals). I spent about €800 in all I think. Most of the stuff is in great condition and came in the original packages. The rails needed cleaning. Not a bad price for enough stuff to build a respectable layout.

    • @PeterPernsteiner
      @PeterPernsteiner Před měsícem +1

      Ich nutze solche Stoffhandschuhe auch nicht und sehr viele Spur1-Modellbahner nutzen sie ebenfalls nicht. Das hat aus meiner Sicht mindestens zwei ganz einfache Gründe:
      Ich finde, dass man schwere Spur 1-Modelle bereits ab einem Gewicht von rund 4 bis 5 Kilogramm mit solchen Handschuhen nicht wirklich sicher hochheben kann, sondern die Gefahr besteht, abzurutschen. Außerdem besteht auch die Gefahr, dass man mit den Stoffhandschuhen bei filigranen Feinguss-Anbauteilen einfädeln kann und dann quasi hängen bleibt.
