Boycs falls for this because he assumes Aggers has batted as often as he has for the number of matches they've respectively played, forgetting of course as a bowler Aggers is less likely to have been called to the crease twice in a match.
Aggers will outwit geoffrey boycs everytime Aggers lovely chap and boycs easy to rile rib typical yorksha chap funny great stuff chat hohoho haha tee hee hee
I'd like to hear the bit again where Aggers took a bite out of Geoffrey's hat. First Ashes match 2019 at Edgbaston. In a previous match (I forget specifics) Jonathon said "Well, if he's not out I'll eat Geoffrey's hat." It went to the third umpire. Whoever was the batsman, he wasn't out. Geoffrey took the commentator's seat this time with a new straw hat, alongside Aggers, and reminded him about it. He clearly expected Aggers to humbly eat crow. Instead Aggers took a bite and left holes in the hat. "Sir" Geoffrey was not pleased.
Agnew's record is surely because David Gower would see seven wickets down on the Grace Road scoreboard, see Agnew in his pads, and declare rather than go through the agony?
Aggers must have sat up until the small hours thinking up ways of winding Geoff up...
'Bad luck Geoffrey'. Magnificently played JA.
I love Boycott, he gets ribbed but takes it, doesn't sook it up, would love to meet him, much respect to you Geoff from down under.
Aggers floated one up there and poor Geoffrey’s eyes lit up ……..
Bowled Agnew caught Sampson.
Comedy Gold i love listening to these two.

Aggers is brilliant.
This is just as good as the Samuel Hassan wind-up. Poor Geoffrey, can’t help himself is trying to get one over on Aggers - and it backfires.

Geoffrey leading with his chin again

It was during the WC final, I remember listening when Geoffrey brought the clip out 😂
"Back Luck Geoffrey" would make a nice ring tone for Derek Randall.
Haha. Hook, line and sinker!!!!
Love this!

Hes a fantastic commentator that Geoffrey.
"Yer kiddin'!!?"
If Pujara has diety to worship:
Geoffrey Boycott
Its cricket but its not cricket is it. Perhaps if he had played as many matches he would have.
Brilliant 😂😂😂
He does take it well. He comes across as a typical Yorkshireman, but he has a sense of humour.
when listening to mens cricket with mens banter.. How things changed, Don't bother listening now. Thank u, political correctness, now it's all boring.
Not exactly true, Alex Hartley is hilarious
Don’t talk bollocks, this was only from about 5 years ago, not the 1970s
Winding up a pal is not trolling. The use of this term and its cognates has become disappointing to put it mildly.
Agnew J: Played 3 tests, took 4 wickets at 93.25 apiece. Couldn't bat couldn't bowl. Even Boycott had better bowling figures.
Doesn't matter. It was a joke. A light hearted one at that. Calm down. And Aggers admits himself-"Wasn't great. I'll be first to admit it."
@@Akash_Tyagi_93 I know it was supposed to be a joke. But the joke is on Agnew as a joke test cricketer.
Brilliant 🤣👍
He was second- and third-leading wicket-taker in 1987 and 1988 respectively, including the achievement of 100 wickets in a season in 1987.
