Whittaker’s the third greatest MW of all time. First is Silva, second is Izzy.

The thing about comparing resumes is that a lot of people talk about the old goat like they weren’t dominating the best fighters of their era. The reason why rich Franklin and Chael seem like mid wins is because of how good Anderson was for his era, they were great wins at the time
I think Dustin and Justin are some of the best lightweights ever and you should count the all time guys by how they rank in their weight class

Also if Drew Dober (no.14 ranked) is a notable win for Makhachev, then Pat Healy (no.10 ranked at the time) and Michael Johnson (no.6 ranked at the time) are notable wins for Khabib too.
I think you really ought to take a second look at DJ's competition. Dodson has wins over TJ, Munhoz, and Nathaniel Wood, all while up a weight class. And DJ has 2 wins over him.
Kyoji Horiguchi fought up a weightclass and won belts in Bellator and Rizin, and his only losses that he didn't win back were a). a fluke spinning back fist from a guy he was dominating, and b). getting backpacked in a david and goliath style fight where he was vastly outsized at bantamweight.
Benavidez is that guy at flyweight, close decisions with Cruz, Cejudo, DJ himself, and all the while firmly setting himself over the lesser guys like Formiga, Elliot, Moraga, Bagautinov, and Ortiz.
and also just not even considering Cejudo as a all time win is just absurd. Lucas loves to play the asterisk game with cejudo but his achievements still make him easily a top 25 fighter of all time, there is literally no arguing that. Lucas definitely underestimates DJ and his resume its ridiculous

Alex pereira with 7 more title wins at 3 fights a year (which is rare for champions) would be 39 at the youngest. If he’s still sleeping killers at that age as consider him a goat candidate
Jons resume is also so rocky because of his steroid issues, if Pereira is 40 sleeping guys like Ankalaev, Jamahal Hill, and surging new contenders you have to give him that, especially because JBJ has lost before (Reyes fight)
Lucas is high, The fact he considers Jan and Jiri better opposition than say Bader, lets you know everything, 40 year old Jan only became champ because every one who was good was gone, and Jiri had like 3 UFC fights and was on the verge to losing to 40+ year old Glover. Neither Jan or Jiri can wrestle , Bader would have mauled both.

I don't see Tuporia surpassing Volks GOAT status in a long time. The resume is almost unbelievable/unheard of. Losing only 4 rounds until your first offical KO loss, I don't see Tuporia getting close to the same resume. We'll see.

Lucas over here playing favourites & showing recency bias. Champions can only compete in the era they're in i.e where the level of mma & skills were. Judge them against their contemporaries at the time. Don't compare champions or contenders from one era to a different era, they're not supposed to be the same bc of mma's development & growth. U can't penalise those who came before for competing when mma was where it was, u can only judge them against those competing against them at the time bc that's where the level of mma & skills were yet they rose above to become the best & dominate.

These are all solid, but I think the fashion in which they've fought and won is important as well. Maybe not strictly speaking, but guys who are winning compared to guys who are completely styling on their opponents and finishing everyone leave a bigger mark than their records show often times. Awesome video!

All time win means: a top 15 fighter ever. Do you think Aljo is a top 15 best fighter of all time ? Hell no. But Aldo is
Lucas your contradicting yourself. You can't say "Aldo was 33", there is a difference between age and milage. Aldo was fighting elite competition at 21 and was World Champion by 23. Aldo had significantly more milage on his body by 30 than Max and Volk ever did. Matter of a fact, When Aldo was World Champion, Volk had not even trained MMA yet. Topuria beating a 35 year old Volk and saying he was old is looking at things in hindsight. He had literally defended his belt in dominant fashion to Yair after an incredible performance vs Islam, and made a terrible short notice decision again Islam and lost his #1 p4p status.
The signs were there for Topuria to knock Volk out. Head kick or no head kick from Islam, Topuria could have KO'd him regardless. Volk is known for getting clipped and knocked down a few times. Someone like Topuria was always more than capable turning his lights out.
Don't wanna be a Makhachev rider but the KO wasn't a fluke, there was a video of his coach showing off him practicing the kick feints and then head kick.

Jones would need two fights to be HW goat: Stipe, and Aspinall would definitely give him GOAT at HW. If he care this much about his Stipe fight then he would need too much to push him to one more fight for triple goat status.
Hell no. Beating stipe at this time of his career is not a notable win sorry, he's an old man now who hasn't fought in ages and off a knockout loss. Plus being the HW goat off only 3 wins... give me a break. Stipe's career trumps over those 3 measly wins and that's assuming if he can even beat Tom (he can't, have you seen how fat he is at the moment).

Its always really tough when factoring beating champions and high competition like that, for perfect example: jon jones, he went on a killers run through past champions in his first title run, but those opponents needed to have the belt change every other title fight for there to be past champions to face, ya know? So GSP having no all time wins is understandable to a small degree, it wsnt his fault that the only person champion before him was Matt Hughes for the past 6 years, and BJ penn that one time. If those guys he faced changed title every fight and then he beat them, it would seem much better.
