Miss this being in Stevenage, it still sounds like a jet engine lol. Also a shame they removed the overhead luggage rails which noone used.

yup found a fleet list online said it was withdrawn a few months ago. As others have said with the faults, these B7Ls were never popular here so spare parts will be a pain to get hold of. It still confuses me why Arriva refurbish their buses but scrap them less than 2 years later sometimes lol. If 3890 was to be preserved espically to its original state, the doors would need to be replace with ones that open outwards to the side. This style of doors was present when 3890 was in Stevenage but had to be replaced as the doors eventually got to the point where the driver had to manually open them, hence why it has the standard bus doors. Among the overhead luggage racks (good luck finding those)

True, although there are a few DB250s preserved already. I'm looking to get an alx300 B10ble. Arriva North East still has 2 left in service but getting a bus from Arriva is probably a thing that will never happen. I was hoping to get one the Arriva the Shires lot. I'd imagine to buy a bus from Arriva you'd need to know people who work at that specific depot which I don't. I am curious do you know what the faults were with 3890?
