      But sharks in general avoid waters as cold as Canada's.

    • @JustinLHopkins
      @JustinLHopkins Před měsícem +1

      There are plenty of sharks that live in cold waters, including the Greenland shark which has the longest lifespan of any known species. Some scientists estimate they can reach 500 years. Great whites have also been documented in Alaskan waters.

      Protecting the earths climate and animal life is imperative because the survival of humans depends on a stable and healthy environment. It’s not really appropriate to joke about climate change when the survival of mankind hinges on the wellbeing of nature.

    No doubt due to the Atlantic Ocean getting very warm so ocean life is traveling to colder water.

    How unusual. Canadian waters are too cold by far to attract sharks.

    • @JustinLHopkins
      @JustinLHopkins Před měsícem +2

      There are plenty of sharks that live in cold water habitats. The Greenland shark inhabits the North Atlantic and Arctic. They can reach 20 feet in length and are the longest living animal known to science. Research suggests they can live for up to 500 years. Yes, there are Greenland sharks swimming around today that were alive before Shakespeare. Deep sea sharks live in total darkness at a depth where the temperature is just above freezing. Great whites have also been documented in Alaskan waters.
