The four magic ingredients to a healthy human ideology: Semantics (understanding language) Reason (the ability to identify hypocrisy) Logic (If "x" is the case, it follows that "y") and empathy (Walk a mile in another's shoes) Yet so many people fail on all four counts.

@@SuperKnuckels 40th anniversary was a combo of 2 of his bits condensed versions. I am forgetting off the top of my head which other bit he did (religion? maybe ?" ) . So I wouldn't recommend watching the 40th anniversary 1 simply because you lose some from both bits.

Carlin, although he referred to aspects of Roman Catholic or Christian religious beliefs, ALWAYS used the general term "religion" because he felt they were all the SAME!!! I would agree!! His rants on the subject pertain to ANY religion!!!

I was a big fan of Michael J. Fox when I was young. I loved him and Nancy Mckeon. Fan-to-fan challenge: Do you know who she is and her significance to Michael?
I have an interesting story for you. Back in the 80s (probably around 86), there was a TV show that lasted about 5 minutes so I can't even remember the name of it. But Michael was the first guest on it. I had my boom box set up to record the interview and my little 16 yr old heart was racing.
In that interview, they wanted to give a gift to Michael so they put through a call for Michael live on the show. It was from legendary actor James Cagney, a celebrity who Michael adored. Michael was visibly shaken and I was in tears as Cagney said a film was being made about him and he wanted Michael to play him. It was incredible.
    Just thought I'd share. 🤗💜

Anybody to have a beer with? I never understood that question, because my answer was always "My dad, both sets of grandparents as I was a tad when my grandparents left me and I was so young that I wasn't even born yet when Dad's parents were alive. The list starts and ends with my father though. I really miss that man. And if there's room, several uncles and aunts that aren't here for an actual beer anymore."
Then I read the Discworld books, and for the first time in contemplating this question, I would add a non-family member, Terry Pratchett. Carlin wouldn't be a bad choice either, though.

I just noticed that these guys took the time to frame the videos within an old TV set. Duh! Also noticed that one of them use DeWalt tools. I'm late to the game and still learning where they're coming from. Etc. It's all good. Carlin is one of the Masters, of course, and this particular bit is exemplary (that's a cool word) of his later work. Good for the 2 neighbors.
