The most surprising one of the whole album - but surprising in the best way possible. I thought a trip hop/trap infused song would have people throwing hissy fits, but the reaction to this has been superb. It's also a prime example of how iii has shaken off specific genres - each song has a completely unique style, yet it all sounds like Miike Snow. I don't think the debut album or Happy To You come even remotely close to iii in terms of showing the group's full breadth of talents.

The new Miike Snow album is the album that keeps on giving and giving. ‘Back of the Car’ is definitely up there with all my other favourite songs by the band, especially due to those sampled, auto-tuned vocals in the chorus that hit 3 different pitches. Am I the only who is a bit dissapointed about this album compared to the previous 2? It misses something - oh yeah great tracks is what its missing. Genghis Khan and this track are all there is for me. Sorry Miike Snow - i thought you wrote Toxic for Britney Spears and knew how to write music even for the big guns. But you dont anymore, you forgot what Miike Snow is supposed to sound like. I know for a fact that much people think the same. I'm just so dissapointed that I have to yell out loud. Dont want to be mean. Loved your first 2 albums a looot.
Michael Larsen yeah you're the only one that thinks this. Miike Snow isn't "supposed" to sound like anything, they're supposed to grow and change however they see fit. All of their albums have a totally different sound and they're all phenomenal.
Agree to very much dissagree. Third album has 2 great songs, that makes it an album i bought. If Genghis Khan and Back of the Car werent on the album i wouldn't buy it. Compared to the first 2 albums which was an incredible journey of interesting thinking and filled up with great songs all over.
The keyboard player in this band is terrible at soloing. The solos in this song and Black and Blue, in particular, are just awful.
