Lyrics:
Throw your dollar bills and leave your thrills all here with me
And speak, but don't pretend, I won't defend you anymore, you see
It aches in every bone, I'll die alone, but not for you
My eyes don't need to see that ugly thing, I know it's me, you fear
If you want me, hold me back
Frail, the skin is dry and pale
The pain will never fail
And so we go back to the remedy
Clip the wings that get you high
Just leave 'em where they lie
And tell yourself, ""You'll be the death of me""
I don't need a friend, I need to mend so far away
So come, sit by the fire and play a while, but you can't stay too long
It aches in every bone, I'll die alone, but not for pleasure
I see my heart explode, it's been eroded by the weather here
If you want me, hold me back
Frail, the skin is dry and pale, the pain will never fail
And so we go back to the remedy
Clip the wings that get you high, just leave 'em where they lie
And tell yourself, ""You'll be the death of me""
Frail, the skin is dry and pale, the pain will never fail
And so we go back to the remedy
Clip the wings that get you high, just leave 'em where they lie
And tell yourself, ""You'll be the death of me""
Hold your eyes closed, take me in
Hold your eyes closed, take me in
Frail, the skin is dry and pale, the pain will never fail
And so we go back to the remedy
Clip the wings that get you high, just leave 'em where they lie
And tell yourself, ""You'll be the death of me""
Frail, the skin is dry and pale, the pain will never fail
And so we go back to the remedy
Clip the wings that get you high, just leave 'em where they lie
And tell yourself, ""You'll be the death of me""

I keep forgetting I listened to Seether. Then I accidentally find a Seether on CZcams and experience the ecstasy of rediscovering Seether in my life
Devon Teaney Me too!
I am having this exact experience right now....
Wtf.... Seether phenomena
I’ve listened to them waaaaay to many times. Def could never ‘rediscover’ them anymore lol
Me too, this video was released on the year I was born
My eyes are confused but my ears are blessed
Ikr XD
Keith Copeland absolutely
Was literally just thinking how conflicted I felt about what I was seeing vs hearing 😂
I thinks it's like an Adam and Eve meets American Horror Story freak show
Haha same
This riff.....this guitar riff and tone damn near single handedly started my passion and obsession with the electric guitar back in 2005. It's a pillar song in my life. Forever grateful to Seether for that.
Very similar to Freak by Silverchair. Right ?
You can thank Daniel Johns for writing the song that Shaun ripped off for this song. The original is "Freak" by Silverchair.
@@goldenhourkodak that’s what I thought. Totally rip off
@@Melvins82 yeah I think one is in a different tuning though if I'm not mistaken
Bro me too when I seen the remedy video and song at age 14 and was like fuck yes I have found my sound 💯 my favorite band, what heavy hard rock looks like to me
2024 anyone? 😂 Still boppin to this banger with awesome visuals
we go back to the Remedy
I'm seeing them at Pine Knob with Godsmack in September!!!
Absolutely. I actually thought it was nirvana

@@nolandavis2927 they're South African?? I had no idea
@@Kier4n99 yep, they originated from South Africa
Seether was such a HUGE part of my teenage angst. I remember seeing them live in Louisville, KY alongside Theory of a Deadman, and My Darkest Day. I practically begged my mom for the money for the tickets since I was still a freshman and couldn't even get a real job. She finally relented and ordered the tickets, plus one. The plus one? Her. My mom went to see TOAD, Seether, Daughtry, and MDD with me, and she absolutely loved it. We both had a stupid good time, and that's when she fess'd up to being a late-80s rocker. Motley Crue, G&R, Molly Hatchet, Metallica, Bob Seger, Mellencamp, she was into the real ones. From that moment on, I knew to never question a mom. She'll either kick you out of her house while singing hymns or kick you in the junk while shotgunning a beer and humming a rock song. LSS, moms are cool.
You know, Moms can be the Coolest!!! My Mom was one of those Moms, I was too, though My Kids will NEVER admit it...
@@robinwanless3496 it's an unspoken thing, like a pact. You just silently know that you have the cool mom, and you can't tell your friends.
So True, except My Friends would always tell Me what a Cool Mom I had. As far as My Own Kids...especially of the male variety, I know they Never said I was Cool.
@@robinwanless3496 funny story for an internet stranger: my mom was a secretary at my high school. We had a school-to-work thing, where you would leave for an hour or so each day of senior year, and go shadow someone at their job. It was very, VERY obvious that I was leaving a few extra minutes in my commute to stop by the park and smoke cigarettes and eat fast food. I was like a teenage truck driver. But, without fail, I'd come back in the building absolutely reeking of Marlboros and Wendy's, and have to pass by her to sign back in and head to my next class. She never once said a word, but would sometimes shoot me a look, or send me a text saying "put your jacket in your backpack, you'll burn up" or "you should really park a little further from the windows, someone might see you". Absolutely a bro.
@@Vann_Scale_Modeling I Love that Story. My Mom caught Me smoking when I was 14 Years old, instead of telling My Dad, OR Grounding Me, She put 2 big ashtrays, 2 packs of cigs, AND a lighter on the stairs to My attic Bedroom, with a note saying, Please don't burn down the House. When I saw Her later that night, We didn't say anything to each other, We gave each other a silent hug. I Miss Her, She was the Coolest Person Ever!!!
SummerSlam 2005 brought me here but I love this band. They’re so good in concert. 🤘🏻🔥

Funny story I discovered this band because I thought "Kurt Cobain" sounded weird while listening to Nirvana on Spotify, so I checked the song and was like, o shit not even Nirvana🤣🤣
I got a kurt Cobain vibe from this too 😅
Yeah it sounds similar to Heart Shaped Box by Nirvana at times, just a bit.
His voice does have a kurt cobain vibe to it lok
You should see Shaun singing with that guy from Puddle of Mud. It's the ultimate tribute
I was a teenager back in the early 90s so Nirvana were one of the biggest groups of my youth and his voice reminds me of Kurt's. I've only just discovered Seether, I'd heard of them but never really listened to them till now. Thank you CZcams 😊
Good for Seether keeping the grunge sound alive.
We’re a New Grunge band, check us out !
“Grunge sound” haha
Damn this is a blessing for my ears, absolutely fucking love this
Hi Kordus! If you like you could listen to PENUMBRA - Tormento (Video Lyrics) it's a similar style, maybe you like it too. I'd love to know your opinion about them. Cheers from Argentina!

This band has always stayed true to grunge through out the years I'm so glad they never changed their sound like a lot of bands do.
but its nu metal or post grunge song
@@titorialiano2419 I don't really understand how they're nu metal, I don't hear the rapping type bits, not in this song at least

"Not until the CD is over"
"(Sir or madam) now"
"Can I at least finish this song?"
"Fine."
My neighbors liked it so much they even threw a rock at the window and broke it so they could hear better
Just amazing.
This is in my opinion is Seether's best song simply for how catchy it sounds and the vocals here are not overpowered by the instruments making it very easy to hear what he is signing and with his vocals matching the rhythm of the beat.
Seether will always be a legendary band and hopefully if someone stumbles upon this song they are reminded it was made during a time when Let's Plays of Halo on Xbox 360 were commonplace and the biggest concern was that there was not enough Doritos and Mountain Dew to fuel an empty stomach when planning to do another Let's Play of the game.
Game streaming was absolutely not common place in 2005.
This is the song that made me a Seether fan and it's been a great ride. The vocalist has such an amazing voice and range!

I was reminded of this thrilling song by Seether today after hearing another song of theirs via a local radio station, this was another song that luckily I was introduced to via radio (it was either California radio airplay around 2004 andor Florida radio airplay around the 2005 timeframe), either way the vocals and music are definitely a treat to listen to even with the pulse rushing type of music video that looks like it could be a video trailer for a theme park haunted house.
