CRMC CADWELL 2019: EXTENSIVE HIGHLIGHTS

- Here is the story of my day at the Classic Motorcycle Racing Club's annual visit to the Cadwell Park racing circuit in Lincolnshire, England.
This is not a fully finished video and has a few rough edges but gives an impression of how the day was.
Weather was pretty fantastic unlike the saturday which was horrible apparently, so enjoy some of the best classic racing available in the UK.
My thoughts are that the noise regulations are quite frankly taking the piss and have destroyed the natural sound of how this period in history was, and some of the exhaust systems which have been grafted onto the machines look ridiculous, so the looks and sound of the four-stroke machines are not as they should be, which is quite tragic.
Back in the 1980's the CRMC club magazine was called "Open Mega" - no such thing any more from what I could see - just whispering bikes going 'round the circuit.
However, the two-strokes are very much unaffected by this and are much more authentic, although I have to question where all the Rotax engined machines have disappeared to. They were very prominent in the early eighties and none were here at this meeting?
Machines on this video include a couple of very nice TZ750 machines, the usual Triumph Tridents and BSA Rocket 3's.
Not a lot of real classic exotica, but maybe the CRMC Donington meeting will be better - let's hope so . . . - Auta a dopravní prostředky

Congratulations, very nice report, excellent presentation. I fully agree with you, yesterday's megaphone have given way to ugly "chamber pots" which do not distill the music of old engines. Let us be vigilant, soon the damned ecologists-bobos will want to impose anti-pollution standards which will ban these magnificent motorcycles. But let's stay positive, the motorcycles are rolling and their rider is having a blast! Thanks to them for the show!
I'm setting in my wheelchair here in Hawaii and enjoying the 125 race, I'm 83 and I have my 350cc Honda road racer in my bedroom that i raced back in the 60's, love it.

If you can't ride hopefully you can RUB a coat of wax on it.( the 350).
Have you ever thought about getting a protege that you could pass that wisdom onto and see that bike do laps again .
Don't know if that is still a thing . I would have given my eye teeth sor some lessons when I was growing up( I'm 63) and Roger Decoster was my hero. I'm sure there is a rider somewhere on that island ( they can't ALL surf)

I remember something about SMELLAVISION when I was a kid.
To bad that never took off.
I wouldn't want to watch a western ( cows smell like $h##) but for racing it would be OUTSTANDING . Also don't think I could watch a cooking show( I would be as big as a blimp😂)
Thanks for the video, having my 3rd neck surgery next week so this gives me insensitive to do therapy to recover so I can get the cage put in my lower back and then off to the races ( hopefully) . You guys have better bike racing over on the other side of the pond than we do. ( America) But utube keeps me hungry . Oh and all the good parts too.

I totally agree . . . and they are so conspicuous on the old bikes, making the machines look AND sound unauthentic.
