No. This one is evolution made in the same style as Locomotive TE1 which was a copy of Da-20 which is an Alco locomotive.Hope this helps.

No this is not an ALCO it is made in the same style. How ever there were some ALCOs imported into Soviet Union and these locomotives were build in that style. There are more differences then simularityies. Hope this answers your question.
