Me: Heh, heh, no-one will ever know my secret 360 lighting formula.

Hihihi
I've been wanting to try lighting a car in my own path tracer but never knew it could be done so easily. Thank you so much for these tutorials.
Great. I'm almost done. Now I only need to learn how to model and texture a car, and get a PC that can render them quick.
Modeling check out the natural art freak!
Lol me too
How are you gonna learn modelling
My pc has a video card of 2gb and its very stable
Never knew how to properly light cars in blender, thanks for this video Damian, I'm pretty sure I will use it in my current tutorial series...
Awesome! Yeah sometimes it’s more simple then you think
this is some good stuff man, so simple yet looks great.
easy to follow, short and super informative. just the way I like it!
Perfect
Great work mate! thanks for sharing!
Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. Simple, concise. Looks fantastic. Thank you. 👍👌
I like your new setup!
Thanks for these video tutorials! Looking forward to more similar videos about car visualization
Very nicely explained, less is more indeed. I've been trying to create this exact lighting for a product render, spent almost a whole day trying to get the perfect light. I had several issues where one side of the product would be dark, due to lack of 360° lighting. However my current project is car related, so I thank you for uploading this tutorial :)
For those who are wondering why there are meaningless comments, these people are from his Discord
Yes xD
This looks mind-blowingly good.
Thanks :)
I love the hate-tires. That absolutely made my day! So much hate!!!! You turned it around into something creative, nicely done. I shall subscribe!
I want to see your car library. By the way your 3 min is more valuable than my whole year of study.
Yeah xD Sometimes it is about learning the right thing instead of all the things.
@@DamianMathew So true!
Wow, looks great, i've got to try this! Thanks!
Looks awesome and very simple

Wow awesome! Glad you liked it
title and vid: under 3min

Thanks for the tuto haha
Cool !!!
Simple but tasteful!
Wow nice 👍
Thank you bro
Thanks a lot!
Amazing Lighting Technique. Thanks alooooooooooooooot. Please show us some more advance Lighting techniques.
Awesome
cool thank you. and i also figured out that if you set clearcoat of the car paint to 3 or 5 you can get that realistic result. i tried many variants and couldnt make it till i coinsidently changed the clearcoat of the car paint
Thank you 🙏
cool!
Glad you liked it !
Thank you so much
thank you
Your welcome! :D
Wow damian !! This is cooler than some pro hdri lighting and more straight forward to showcase the product.👍🏼 also can you please show us the material that you used in the ground plan ? Its awesome thanks❤️
Glad you liked it! I thought people might ask about the floor. It’s really just a texture from texture.com and I am fading it with a radial gradient just like the lights in this tutorial.
@@DamianMathew thanks man ! this is really helpful.
This is one of the best videos I have seen - fast - precise - sexy
GZ One sounds more like some cheap rapper instead of a shortcut command 😂 thanks for the tutorial!
nice
Was struggling with creating soft lights in Blender. Thank you for this quick tutorial. Had tried creating soft highlights only with gradient texture before and struggled. I saw you using the same technique. If it is possible could you please elaborate on these technique as Blender otherwise produces a very sharp Highlights or I am unware how to get soft highlights. Also, I have tried using a Translucent plane as a diffuser in front of light, but it produces a lot of noise. Could you please share your tips on these two topics as it will help me light better in blender.
Great video as always but that comment though 😂😂😂 cracked me up...
Best xD I am slowly collecting quite a few hate comments, every time I am so confused and smile when reading them xD
@@DamianMathew that's is just the way it is online, unfortunately. Just nevermind those idiots though your content is great... 👊👍

Crazy model! How r u guys so good?! Please teach us
Looks cool! Can u make quick environment lighting tutorial for landscapes too?
Yeah maybe!
Though i use c4d but after all 3d is 3d you can apply the techniques everywhere in most cases!
I would definitely give it a try.
+1 sub
Yeah totally! I actually started out in C4D. Thanks for the sub!
Currently doing a car in Houdini and I'll be saving this video for lighting when I get there.
Your videos are always great... Just noobs like me have to see your vudeos in 0.25X speed 🙂
Idk why, but it looks like my windows reflect too much light somehow, they're too white, and not dark like yours.
Great video btw man, +1 subscriber :)

wow i love these very shorts videos. Also, where do you get all your cars models ?
I never worked for Toyota and just felt like rendering a Supra because I drive by a huge Supra poster on the way to the office every morning, so this is actually from turbosquid. But usually I get all the models from the brands them selves.
Thanks for the amazing tutorial! I needed this years ago! (the tire is no more free apparently, is it? *teardrop)
Just the texture
Love you bro . Iam a fan of your art, work and skills . Please reply 🥺
Glad to hear! :) thanks for supporting me by watching my videos and commenting!
@@DamianMathew wow i got reply. Thanks man!!!
Please continue your work.😍😍😍☺️
@@the_REALSIGMA will do! Glad I was able to make you a bit more happy :)
Plzz Explain about nodes in shading
I like the license plate
WoW
Wow
How did you make that floor? It looks so good!
It's probably super simple with some different noise textures combined to bump and roughness but i've yet create a floor mat that i like because i'm pretty new to materials in 3d lmao
Amazing content and tutorials on your channel. Does this work in Evee too? Or is it only cycles?
Hi Damian, can u tell me how to avoid the floor edge to show in the render. Like yours, it blends with the background, but in mine I can see the line. I suk at this.
Up! I also wanna know. The reflection on the floor is really annoying when I tried it, but on his video it looks good. Certainly it's because of the floor material is adjusted, but we don't know how
Use a radial gradiant as the floor alpha/transparency
waiting for void to come over
ahhh got your comment xDDD
A good, but no longer up-to-date video, I think that's a shame, so I can't really implement it.
(Right from the start I am aware that it is impossible to always be up-to-date, Blender is constantly throwing out updates, something that really annoys me...)
Also, a simple screenshot of how the node composition is in the Shader would be helpful.
If you've dealt with Blender (and I assume that's the target group of this video) you know how to create nodes etc., but you want to know the composition.
That makes the video even shorter, it's faster and you actually have less work to do.
Anyway i would love to see a update on this topic in the future.
Thank you
i am sure I’ll make more light related videos in the near future! Thanks for the feedbacks
Good quickie Dam! But pls increase the UI scaling man, so hard to see with my small screen
Ah interesting! Sorry about that. I guess it is even now smaller because I have a bigger screen.
No u increas ur screen size lmao
@@mrcatto3d813 bruh
IS THAT A SUPRA!!!!!
Wait ... IS THAT A SUUUPRA?!?!
hahaha, that was so quick. can you do a tutorial on how to make material for earbuds, watches, and other lifestyle products? mostly plastic(granular plastic). Greyscalegorilla adds a material library called TECH MATERIALS, and they pretty amazing materials for tech products. if you can show us that would be great. thanks
Ah interesting. Good idea!
@@DamianMathew yes, thank you. I'm looking forward to it
Nice. Especially when we don't wanna use HDRI.
Awesome tutorial! I have a question when talking with clients if they do not have cad data for the product they want visualized, how do you explain so they understand why 1 product is more complicated then the other to modell and therefore will be more expensive. For example a pill bottle vs flashlight.
Interesting. What I sometimes show is a blender screenshot before is is rendered and a screenshot of the render. And explain that I need a 3D model for the render. If they can’t provide it, I tell them the price and just see. From experience the people that don’t have CAD, arnt a serious company anyways, so not the ideal client. The best clients I have ALL have cad files.
@@DamianMathew Thank you! Yes this was a smaller client, I'm learning a lot from your videos especially the business side of it that's really a game changer right now when I'm trying out freelancing your videos are super inspiring
🤩
hey i like alll your lightig tutorial but can you please make a car modelling tutorial series
In the meanwhile check ‘the natural art freak’ channel
how do you do your car windows glass i cant seem to get it right and it's frustrating :') the glass for the headlight is good but for windows it always look weird  anyway really cool vids and really helpfull overall thanks
Wow so simple but the result is so amazing😲😲, wanna know the complex lighting look like 😁😁
Hm I might make a video about it
Hi, I can't get the glass on the windows to be transparent & see through them. Any advice?
what did you do for the floor texture?
good video, the accent tho lmao
