@@jebx7801no u don’t need C6 Kaeya, though if ur playing melt, ur aiming for one shot anyway, so just use Charlotte since she can equipped TTDS + instructor, her cryo app allows C2 Arlecchino to double melt with her C2 900% attack and her burst

@@jebx7801i use c0 kaeya. Just do 1 dash after CA and do N3Cs. Idk why but it works with me. I melt every first hit in my N3Cs.

That's been the case since Inazuma, where almost every 4⭐needs C6 in order to be of any real use.
Same with many other supports like sara (who's literally worse than a lisa with ttds pre-c6) and faruzan

@@SageRuffin & that is not true because rn both Kuki & Thoma are one of the best units to use for Hyperbloom & Burgeon and they dont need cons to do that.
Sayu still heals well at c0 tbh even if no one will wanna use her for that. Heizhou is actually not too bad, just outshone by other great anemo charas but whats new? Venti himself as the anemo archon is outshone by other anemo units. Gorou buffs geo teams well at c0 & Sara needs c2 to start functioning but having 1 shitty 4* is to be expected.
Sumeru is a mess though. Faruzan needs c6 to function or 300+ er which is crazy. Candace needs c6 to be used in exactly ONE (1) team. Collei is just no.. What is the point of Kaveh even? Why suffer to get his c6 & do mediocre dmg when you can get 1 Nilou instead which is ironically easier than a c6 Kaveh? idk how Dori functions at all so no comment, & then Layla is actually decent but if you have Diona, you dont really need her.
So, 1 in Inazuma is shit without c6 & 1 in Sumeru is decent without c6 xD The answer is obvious.
One thing to notice in comparison of Candace NATK buff vs Yelan DMG buff. Is that Candace buff is instant and works from the very first second, Yelan burst needs 9-10s to stack to match the buff Candace provides, and as we know more time you spend normal attacking with Arlecchino worse it becomes. It has some nuances, longer fight vs faster fight one is better than another and vice versa, personal damage vs no personal damage etc.
kinda but candace wont have much HP in this team with instructor making the buff small plus in practice considering you already build some yelan buff stacks during setup. the main difference is aoe hydro vs yelan flexibility and personal damage

@@jamiekb9v she gives 20% always and 10% with 20k hp via A4 passive, I don't think you ever worry about Instructor being bad for NATK buff because of first 20%. If 30% is small, then worst case scenario you probably can put ER/HP/HP Noblesse on Candace and Instructor on Bennett with 5* feather, you can lvl 90 her (I saw other's dude Candace, he had 20k hp at lvl 90 without hp goblet and circlet, your lvl 70 probably has 1 or 2 of those). Although at speedrun level it is probably not optimal to swap sets, this is a topic I know nothing of, so there is that.
Another thing is 1k EM Kazuha gives 40% dmg, which is considered good on top of all other benefits he provides, but 30% NATK buff is small? I don't have excel math to back it up, but my gut feeling tells me 30% is not that small.
Edit: I understand this is such a small thing but I'm just curious whats the line of thinking.

i think candace's NA buff is much more valuable than Yelan's dmg buff because Yelan's ramping dmg buff is anti synergistic with arle. arle is more frontloaded while yelan's buff is backloaded. its universal nature is also not really that relevant (youre using 4pc gladiator for a reason).
oh also, her 15s cooldown makes it so that you can do 15s rotations, leading to potentially more BoL for your subsequent rotations.
the only real difference between her and candace comes down to personal damage, and if your arle is highly invested, the frontloaded buff from candace might make up for it. 30% NA buff is nothing to scoff at, and if you get some very good artifacts for her, she can reach upwards of 40k HP. i use her on my cyno team from time to time with triple HP, black tassel at 188% ER. it is possible to get even higher ER from substats (my qiqi literally gets 107% from subs alone lol).

She was fine in Nilou teams before.
Candace was already good with Noelle-Furina, and could even use Rightful Reward to completely eliminate all ER issues.
Before Furina, Candace was also good in Nilou bloom by letting Yaoyao be the driver.

i’ve been loving candace. it’s so nice to finally be able to use her and not have it feel like a waste. right now i have her on emblem because my benny is on noblesse and my instructors set doesn’t have enough er. + i just have too many cracked eosf pieces after farming to get a top yoimiya for years lmao

tbh xingqiu yelan is really high bar to overcome just she can work in this team it good enough for most player (if get her C6) and she dont need high lv / skill lv just slap instructor and now u have xingqiu yelan on other side
I'm loving her! I was able to do 43s Continuous with her at 5.5 cost even though she's not optimal on every chamber
I have her levelled from when I used Nilou more often, good to see that there's a good excuse to dust her off the shelf

Hi Jamie, do you know how arlechinno teams with yelan and xingqiu compare to c2 furina. I been using my c2 furina cause I am furina main. But I am curious of your opinion.
Furina c2 generally better for damage although you have even worse survivability
I’m aware that this might be a stupid question (or at least that the answer is probably pretty obvious), but what is cost in speed running? I know that there is an example of the team’s cost in the video, but I still have questions around what exactly is meant by cost in Genshin speed running. I’ve been seeing it in speed run videos recently, and I would just like to know exactly what people are talking about when they mention cost, and how to work out the cost of a team for speed running. Is it the total number of 5* cons/refs in the team? Is there more to it than that? Or am I completely wrong on my assumptions?
the basic meaning is the amount of 5* in your team, but has more nuances. the easiest thing I would recommend is watching the video "Introduction to Abyss Speedrun" by hkanty

Sorry if this seems an ignorant question, but is Arlo/Candace something that only works for speed runs? I have a C6 Candace and I’d love to have a place to use her, but when I try this team it seems to fall flat. Her Hydro app doesn’t seem to last long and only reapplies when you switch characters, which you won’t do once you start Arlo’s attacks. I don’t do enough damage to clear Floor 12 in one rotation, so it got me wondering if her value is in teams where that is feasible.
no worries that's a common experience, as i mentioned in the vid candace just wont feel as consisently good as yelan or xingqiu. she excels in situations where you really benefit from the aoe hydro app and kinda falls short by comparison in other longer fights like chamber 3 aoe. still a fine option though.
can i ask why u swirl the hydro instead of pyro with sucrose and is it better to do that?
they were probably more focused on getting ttds up
I've been playing the Sucrose variant of this team, but what was the point of booking in the Icewind Suite run? And if you were to play Kazuha, how would you infuse his burst in that setup?
Book reduces swap cool-down so I’m not wasting too much buff duration giving arecchino ttds. With kazuha you don’t need to infuse his burst just use skill

Should I really replace my Yelan c2 with c6 candace? I feel like Yelan's hydro application is more than enough for Arle, even in AoE context. (Considering Yelan's high personal damage too)

Its really such a shame that candace's true potential is locked behind her C6, though that's been the case for 'most' of the recent 4-stars. Xingqiu is already completely functionable at C0 and you can get guaranteed copies of him through the shop, C6 candace is truly up to the RNG gods 💀
The rotations seem scuffed for ttds. Sucrose switches to candace so its useless. Maybe fav codex sucrose is better?

Bursting on Arlecchino is a dps loss, so you don't need ER unless you have skill issue and really needed to burst for the heal.
It absolutely pains me that this only works if she's C6. I got her one and only copy at late 2023, so it's extremely unlikely that I'll ever be able to try this team out. :/
Candace doesn’t really NEED instructor if your sucrose is giving EM sharing anyway. But if you play with kazuha then yes instructor is good.

Regrettably yes. Pre-c6 candance doesnt have enough hydro application for her to be a viable xinqui/yelan replacement.

When using instructor or any 4star artifact set and you want lots of er then make sure the sands is the 5star flex piece so you can get more er, yes it can be more restrictive but you still get more er
actually its usually the other way around. 5 star sands is only 12% er higher, and players often get more than that with an 5 star off piece

In the current 4.7 beta, Arlecchino's particle generation CD has been changed to 1.5s. In the current live version (4.6 preload data) it is 0.5s. Is this fix will has some effect with her overall damage?
Sac spear doesn't exist and using her Burst to reset the E cooldown doesn't get affected, because the burst animation alone is 2s. The change seems more like a bug fix, altough i have never heard of her genarating particles twice with a single E.
That change does nothing to dmg at all or anything for that matter it's just for some funny anti battery abuse or some shit

My main takeaway from this video is that I think I don't need Zhongli for my C2R1 Arlecchino lol if that's the kind of damage she causes why bother having a shielder? Which means, I'll be getting Clorinde tomorrow because I don't need to save for Zhong anymore, bonus points because Thoma is actually quite decent for Arle to give her a little more shield so his C6 is a bonus here.
