Hilarious dog talking at the start of dog sled race

- [ORIGINAL] This dog gets very excited at the start of the Apostle Island Dog Sled Race in Bayfield, WI on February 2, 2013. He appears to be saying "RUN, RUN, RUN!"
The talking dog's name is O'Riley and he's part of Jim's Team made up of rescue dogs and live in Bayfield, WI. The dogs race both Saturday and Sunday, with half of the total race distance completed each day.

Our family used to Sled Dog race here in Canada.. and they all could not wait to run... could not get in the dog box on the truck fast enough to anticipate the next race all the while yipping, yapping & hollerin'. Our lead dog was very much the same - SO excited!!! This brought back such wonderful memories for me. I miss our Sibes! (and they were the worse with their Sibe-Speak... loved every minute of it!!)
I come from Sweden and my family also have had sledge dogs and I have the same experience, Some of them just can't control their excitement and its really cute. One of our dogs got this exited just be getting the harness on xP

All the folks thinking about animal abuse apparently skipped the part about selective breeding and how we have dogs and not a bunch of wolf-dog creatures because we bred dogs for certain characteristics including, uh, running and pulling stuff and hanging out with humans.
They love to run, and probably most of the dog owners are animal lovers! But there is abuse, too!

Being a redditor I can identify the animal depicted has went through some form of abuse. Such a traumatic experience is very likely to leave side-effects, in this case the animal is yelping nonsense before the race that its owner is most likely trying to profit from. Absolutely disgusting.

You are disgusting. I own a 5 month old sled dog rescue and she already pulls my daughter around on a sled and LOVES it. The only thing she loves more is food. This musher isn’t making money off this dogs abuse. He is making money off this dogs love of running.

He was anxious to get going for sure. Just hope he makes it through the whole thing alive. Many very excited dogs do not. It's sad that this race continues - can't you guys just race alone on cross country skis or something? Safer for these animals.

Sled dogs LOVE this kind of thing. He wanted to run. he was very happy to do this.
Sled dogs are usually treated very well.
Usually it is Huskies that do this since they are pretty much made for conditions like this.
Dogs love to please their owners and dogs who do things like this love it. because it makes them and their owner happy.
Sled dogs were made to run and pull sleds. It is in their blood. Why do you think they are called sled dogs even though their true breed name is an Alaska husky.
It is in their blood to be runners. Not running would make them sad.
