Great tutorial! For stuffing I buy an inexpensive pillow at wal-mart for about 4.00 and tear it open and use the fill. I can make so many things with that. Way cheaper than buying a bag of stuffing.

That is so cute ! for Easter I’m going to make a couple of them for my grandchildren they are 2 and 3 years old only thing is I’m going to do differently is put a cat ball that has a bell in it and put that in there with the stuffing then when they shake it it will make noise 👍 😊

This is perfect. Thank you, you're directions are wonderful and so easy to follow, you're so clear about all the steps. And by the way, it's not creepy, I do the same thing, take apart older stuffed animals and reuse the stuffing, it's called "upcycling" :D

You know, crafters are amazing for the environment! We repurpose, reuse, and renew everything, lol. From bread ties to toilet paper & paper towel rolls, cardboard boxes to old plastic paint cans. Yes, I repurposed/ reused/ upcycled an old 5 gallon plastic paint can and turned it into a beautiful umbrella stand once. No one can say we don't go green, lol.

Adorable! My mom and I make Easter Baskets, every year! I make the Easter Eggs, using plastic eggs, I buy at the dollar store. I crochet around each egg, I used embroidery thread and thread my mom brought back from Japan. My mom makes the baskets, out of thin cardboard, beautiful wrapping paper, and small metal clips to keep it together. We put in fake grass and fill it with the crocheted eggs and chocolates. These are easy to make also, I might have to make some of these, since I have fiber-fill. 💞💞💞

I made these for our annual family Easter Egg hunt for the kids. They loved them! Then today I was babysitting a 3 year old little girl who found one of my grandson's eggs and wanted it, but he didn't want to give it up so I made one on the spot for her. She sat in front of me watching as I made it. I handed it over to her as soon as the last stitch was in and she was so excited. She carried it around and would not put it down. She wanted me to make something for her Mommy and I just happened to be working on a small basket so I finished that up as well and gave it to her Mommy. Mommy loved the little basket and several ideas for it until baby girl came in the room and saw it. She took the little basket from Mommy, put her egg in it and said, "My egg basket!" and then proceeded to take off with it, lol.
Thank you so much for teaching this pattern. You made a LOT of children happy, especially a little three year old who lost her Daddy to cancer a year ago.

I can’t believe I made your egg! I thought I was hopeless cause I started three times and then realized I do need to count my stitches cause I kept adding or skipping each time and then closely listening to you. Thanks again.

Crystal these are adorable. I`m all about reuse, recycle and repurpose and so your no stranger than I am. Although I am a beginner I go to thrift store and purchase the torn ( unthreaded) blankets & afghans, (saving them lol) then mind them to pass onto those who need them, even furry friends.

So I've made about 5 now.. had to give 2 to my granddaughter bc she saw me finishing up one.. oops on me. I wish I could show you a pic of her holding them with the biggest smile on her face 😍. I have different size eggs though bc I tried 5mm hook, egg came out kinda big - so I went down to a 4.5mm hook and tried holding my hook using the knife grip.. that makes my stitches smaller and tighter. Then I tried Caron SS .. I'm still playing around with different hooks, tension etc. I like having all these different size eggs. 🥚🐣🐥🐤🐰 Thanks Crystal
