  • Hope you all enjoyed! This video broke down 8 tips on how to get into your dream school. It is college application season. That means that students across the globe are applying for college, law school, med school, and graduate programs in general. These are some tips I've picked up along the way that will help you get admitted to college and get into your dream school. These tips cover everything from essay writing, to your recommendation letters. I also go over the process of early admissions and early decisions. Hopefully, you found these tips helpful and took my advice! I am currently a 2L law student at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. I personally used these tips to help me get into one of the top law schools in the country. College admissions and graduate school admissions are tough to navigate. These tips should make it a bit easier though! Where are you planning to apply? Thanks again for watching, and I'll see you next time!

I’d say go to a two year college first for your basics and they’re also cheaper

That’s generally pretty good advice! There are a few caveats though. If you plan to get into something specialized like engineering, pharmacy, etc… then it’s best to go to a four year school since you often need to get admitted to the program early and you start taking specialized classes as soon as your second semester. Also, 2 year schools and community colleges don’t give you the best networking opportunities and you don’t get the full college experience. They’re great for saving money and networking/the experience isn’t always a goal for students, but for those who are prioritizing it, a 4 year school could be better. In general I always suggest going to an in-state public university to start since they’re significantly cheaper and more accessible. Students should only be going to a private school or an out of state school if it is elite and offers a specialized program

Perfectly valid way to approach applications! If you don't plan to use an early decision then it's typically best to wait until you have all of your grades ready so you know where you stand.
