The Cost of Great Acting | ACTING LESSON

- If you could pay money to become better at something, I’m sure you would. Good actors are only good because they risk something: being honest, being made fun of, being vulnerable. That is the cost of being a great actor. I truly believe the more vulnerable you become, the more you can achieve in your performances.

Agreed. Great advice. It is my constant life’s work in and out of acting. I’m hoping to continue improvement though I’m not there yet. Thanks for sharing.
Miguel Velazquez yes! It’s such an important thing to remember not just in acting but life in general! Thanks for the comment Miguel, really appreciate your thoughts!
Curtis Nicotra you bet 👍🏼🙂
I clicked on your video by mistake and then watched the whole thing (and of course made my milkshake video). Good video! Congrats and keep up the good work. And I agree with you 100%, I’m doing theater class just for a few weaks now and I can totally see what you’re talking about. People really are afraid of looking embarrassing and it gets on my nerves lol It’s like for god’s sake just do it We won’t laugh or if We laugh fuck it you know. But about the being vulnerable... in my personal life I’m a wall person lol I really don’t show my feelings (and I know it is a problem) but when I’m acting I’m on a stage not being me and so I don’t do that. My biggest fear is having to make a personal exercise in class lol God help me if I have to someday. I was thinking about that watching the second season of Barry, because they do exactly that. Btw, I really recommend for actors to watch it, not only because it’s about acting class but because it’s sooo good and funny. Wow, I really got off topic here, but that’s me lol Anyway, you are getting a like 👏🏻
Top advice 👌
Leon Nicotra thanks bro!
thank you
You are really a great teacher. You describe a complex topic in a simple and comprehensible way so that people really understand it and in an authentic way without craving for attention or applause. That's why you get applause from me ;)
Thank you 🔥
I not even understand english! 😂... but I tried ... and I think I did!
I'm studying acting at a school and english at home. Someday I want merge both things.. I want acting in english! ☺
