Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid.

Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies. At 29 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock frontwomen... or frontmen!
Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 31 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kuruppo! No, no, no… KURUPPO!!
Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 31 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more!
Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 32 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party!
MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 30 years old. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note... uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. I love Bandmaid and I love the Steelers. First time I saw the Steelers was in 1972. First play I saw was Franco running up the middle in his rookie season. That was it for me. I've been a Steeler fan ever since. I recommend Freedom - live version and From Now On - an instrumental MV

It was Thrill whose MV I saw first, but about 2-3 videos, or about 15 minutes later, the crush, where I still didn't really knew how to classify my feelings, became love. I am unfortunately a huge pessimist, and this was too good to be true. 🙈 But at that moment I realized that I had found something special.
'Thrill' will always have a special status for me, but the fact that I kept watching and stumbled upon 'Daydreaming' is what I owe everything to, and these two will forever be linked for me. 😅

Yes, that solo is definitely overflowing with goosebumps
A pianist’s right hand/fingers and her lefts corresponds to the premier guitar part, i.e. Mincho’s and the secondary, i.e. Kobato’s. It’s not a simple and conventional lead-/rhythm-guitar configuration. But, that’s what Mincho has, I think, in her mind and intension, when she writes and arranges her songs.

If you haven't yet, check out the Japanese metal band Nemophilia. Start with their covers first. They do great jobs with. Bon Jovi's Bad Name, Detroit Rock City by Kiss ( though I was never a Kiss fan ). They do a great job with the song. Even throwing on the makeup for this in studio performance. Journeys Separate Ways, and a cover of a Japanese song. Which I never heard before but I think they're you an amazing job of it. The song is called One Night Carnival. My one two punch when it comes to rock/Hard Rock/metal out of Japan. Band Maid for me is number one. Nemophilia is my number two. Thanks again.

You have done one rock song and one power ballad, so why not try an instrumental next? I suggest "From Now One". By then, you are probably a fan and should try a true ballad, "About Us" live. It's a song about the band and their fans and the sorrow of not being able to meet during covid. It was recorded at an online concert. Make sure to turn on the captions.
