I hope you enjoy coming along as we explore in the Wrangler 392 and the 4XT JKU. I would love to hear what your latest adventure has been in the comments below. Thanks for watching!

    Fun trail to do for sure. Did it twice this year, once on a pre-run for the club then took a group on this trail and ended up in Cave Creek for a nice lunch at the Horny Toad...

    • @4XTRAIL
      @4XTRAIL  Před 2 lety +1

      Nice, I imagine it would be a good trail for a larger group since there aren’t many obstacles to hold things up. Not really sure how it gets a 5/6 rating on trailsoffroad. What we encountered was a 3/4 at the worst imo. Will have to check out the horny toad next time I’m up that way!

    Great video, love the views. I hate to see the abandoned vehicles along the trail. It just turns into junk. Side note: Because of your video on the Yokohama's I am getting mine installed today. My re-gear isn't scheduled to the 19th. I also went with the Artec Apex Front Truss kit. Keep up the great work!

    I am sorry if I missed this but are you rolling on 40s?
    I have a 392 XR that I absolutely love. I had a Jeep Mojave which was a great truck, but the long wheelbase without an engine to match the competition i.e. TRX or Bronco Raptor. The Mojave needed to roll on 35s with a V-8.
    Jeep if you are watching or listening...forget electrification and listen to your customer. Note I passed on a 4xE in favor of a V-8 that gets 13.5-17.5 mpg.
    Make the Gladiator Mojave with locking front and rear diffs with sway bar disconnect rolling on 35 or better with a 392 hemi... and you can rule the world!!!.
    My 392 Wrangler is still an SUV. But it serves up 0-60 in 4.2 seconds and the 1/4 mile at a respectable 12.7 seconds. And oh by the way nobody really wants to go faster than 114 mph in a Jeep if they value their lives.
    I am glad Jeep created the 392 Wrangler JL with a one-touch top. It is a game changer for performance guys that want to dominate off-road as well.
    It retains its Rubicon rock climbing prowess. Wow! Love it!!!!!!!

    Not sure how far the border is from where you were at, but could that camo Tahoe possibly be a abandoned drug carrier? I knew a retired border patrol agent from Texas, he said it was at time a weekly thing to come across suvs abandoned, gutted out with nothing more than a driver seat for max drug capacity buried to the frame or burned to the ground.

    • @4XTRAIL
      @4XTRAIL  Před 2 lety +1

      Interesting, not something I had thought of. The Tahoe was located on the easier access end of the trail. This trail is around 200 miles north of the border though.

    • @aerialzona6003
      @aerialzona6003 Před rokem

      I grew up near this trail in the town of New River. There's really no reason at all that a drug running vehicle from the border would be on that trail. Its way to far from the border and the trail doesn't lead anywhere.

    Hey Caleb. I'm still searching to replace my Milestar tires. Can you give me any feedback on road noise and maners with your new Yokos. In comparison to the Patagonias.
    Also if Shawn is here, curious about the same with the Coopers.
    Thanks.
    Love the vids. 👍

    • @4XTRAIL
      @4XTRAIL  Před 2 lety +2

      Hey! The yoks are wearing in pretty well for me. They have a slight hum since new whereas the milestars were pretty quiet until they weren’t (started getting noisy around 10k). However I can run less psi in the yoks since they are a flat top vs the domed milestars so long term I think I’ll like the yoks better in terms of ride quality and tread wear.
      If you are okay with a hybrid I hear the ridge grapplers are slightly quieter and wear very well also so you might check those out. Shawn said he’s impressed with the coopers so far but he doesn’t have many miles on them. He ran KM3s on his old jeep and said he loved them. Those are probably the tires I’ll try next, the KM3s because I’ve heard a lot of good things. Very happy with the Yoks for now though. Hope that helps!
