You can make a Lava Lamp easily without an Alka seltzer tablet. Only using Salt or Eno. You can do this with easily available materials at home. It is great as a science project. This video also tells the conclusion of the Lava Lamp.
**(Eno/Baking soda works for longer time than salt)**
1 packet Eno works for 4-5 mins approx. 1 spoon of salt works for about 1 minute.

oh...
Use a medium size Jar.
Take oil and water in the correct amount 1/4 water and 3/4 oil.
Put eno/salt/baking soda in spoonful quantity quickly at once.
It should work.
