Nice job joe. BTW, im am glad to see you looking healthy. Ive been following you for a while now and seen the business transition into what it has become. So happy for you!
You can get a 50 pound bag of sodium hydroxide for about $100. I mix it 4 lb sodium hydroxide 5 gallons of water in about 1/2 cup of dawn. This solution works extremely well. If you're going to use it on a painted surface I would test a small spot first you may need to use a little less sodium hydroxide for a painted surface. I usually use it for Greasy concrete
Cool project, great footage and editing as usual! The work flow of how your videos get to final publish would make a great video. Who is doing all the backend? They deserve loads of credit. This was fun to watch! Glad you bounced back and still kicking butt.
What a dramatic improvement on those walls! Do you think that mix would be too hot for oxidized vinyl siding? Or a reduced ratio? Wondering how it would affect window glass and plants.
Turn the waterfed pole into a pressure pole, all you need is a BE 1/4 thermoplastic hose, cut the ends off then crimp on 1/4 male threads on both ends. On one end put a 1/4 to 3/8 plug, on the other end put a swivelling nozzle and a coupler. Take the first section out of the waterfed pole, feed the plug end down the pole and into the ball valve, the coupler end the clamp should hold onto the swivelling nozzle. One person on the ball valve and one person on the pole. All you’ll need to carry is the hose. No A frame needed.
@@powerfulimprovements give it a go, it’s carbon fibre so it floats by itself when it’s on, use a single oversized 40 degree nozzle. You will have throttle down and dial in the pressure.
Always great content! I have a question sir what solution should I use to remove black soot from a brick chimney on the outside of the house. I appreciate your content and your feedback.
Joe, just buy a 50 lb bag of sodium hydroxide (caustic beads), add some Dawn, and then X-Jet. I've used this for months to wash dirty, greasy, diesel fuel-soiled truck stops across TX and LA. Much more cost-effective.
@@ClintonCountyDroneGuy $130 for 50 lb bag. Use 16 oz per 5 gal with a squirt or 2 of Dawn... primarily as marker. Works great. Joseph below uses 4lb... not sure how many ounces that would be... but sounds like a bit more than I use. Be CAREFUL. Very heat reactive with water. Will burn skin. Wear a mask and gloves.
Joe, how long is the suction hose on the xjet? I'm using the 15 foot hose that came with the kit, i want to extend that and reduced having to move the bucket so often. Thanks and thanks for another awesome video.
Just wondering how many 5 gallon pills of degreaser And drain cleaner did you go through on that project I have one coming up something similar. Thank you
Vaporizing those chemicals and standing under them is not recommended. Guys, if you do this you are putting your lungs, skin, and eyes at risk. Wear a full faced respirator along with long sleeves and gloves. It may not hit you immediately breathing this stuff in, but i'm sure over time there could be all sorts of issues. Be safe!
Adding that drain cleaner is a great hack, especially for smaller jobs. Thanks for posting this!! Here is something I researched but have not experienced in the field. I noticed the drain cleaner has both sodium and potassium hydroxide. Quick chemistry lesson…Sodium hydroxide is the most common degreaser we use mostly because it is cheaper than potassium hydroxide. Sodium hydroxide is slightly more exothermic than potassium good for a cold water system, however potassium hydroxide is slightly smaller than the sodium hydroxide on a molecular level. That means it penetrates the oil molecules faster and since it is more soluble, it rinses away faster. The drain cleaner is a win win since it contains both hydroxides! If you have another section to clean, wonder if you skip the Zep and try using just the drain cleaner?? or as suggested if you get into a lot of degreasing, buy the raw materials and mix yourself. By all means respirate next time spraying this stuff, don’t need to be in the hospital with fluid in your lungs!

We bust a hose everytime we extend past 300 ft
Used hoses break not new ones. But shutting off that long of a hose line puts entirely too much pressure I guess
I wonder how this combination would work on oil stains in concrete
Crazy weather here in Jersey !!!!

What else have you used those cleaning solutions on?
This is the only project we’ve used this concoction on.
I saw the degreaser working and thought I was on acid.
Trippy right!?!
nice work sir, could we use this on concrete sir. like drive throughs car oil and food grease
I don’t see why not

I understand. Makes sense. But you still have to wells the long lever. That’s the killer. An a frame or ladder takes all the stress off the operator
