Kids nowa days haven't had a childhood , I was born mid 80's turned 5 years old 1990 , spent time with my nan every day , loved playing barbies etc , playing in the woods , picked bluebells

Once she started laughing I could stop!..i love watching and listening to you both as you are so down to earth,say things as they are and I can relate to childhood as I'm 42 so totally get where your coming from. We played a version of cops and fans called Death Letter. We'd split into teams, say 2 teams of 5. One team would run and hide and the other team had to find them. But the kicker was the hiding team would have a 5 letter word and each person would have 1 letter from that word. The seeking team would then find a hider and beat the shit out of them until they gave them their letter. The aim was to get all the letters and make the word

I grew up in the 80s Can't relate to any of these games. It must have been a regional thing. These two need to write a sitcom based on their childhoods being best friends but completely different.
Just watched the Have a word crossover pod. Cannot believe the BBC won’t commission new two pints series. I bet any money it’s because they are worried about the PC brigade commenting on it, it’s not because they don’t think it would be a hit, they know it would be massive.
We called the clay on a stick game... Tockey wanging because the clay was refered to as tockey. Also grew up in the 80s and 90s and have a thousand stories, we definitely had more adventures.
You two are so right about growning up if me n mates turned back home clean we'd get questioned for ages as to why as normally we'd be out playing footy or in the woods getting messy so if turned up clean it looked like we'd been up to no good 😂😂😂 that's proberly why kids are always ill nowadays as they're to scared to see the outdoors and get dirty n mucky!!!

I was born in the mid 80s and grew up in the North. My childhood was very much like Will's...all except the pencil!
