  • A brief tutorial on how I apply labels to my DVD's. The same process applies to CD labels as well.
    CORRECTION! The number for the LABELS on the Avery web site is 8962. I mistakenly gave everyone the number that was printed on the label itself, which is not the correct number. Thanks for spotting the error @TheRickoff !!!

    Thank-you. I never knew the centre spindle pops out. You saved me a lot of time/aggravation. I have one of these for a decade and did not know

    This label applicator has been discontinued as of 30 MAR 2021. They're now extremely difficult, if not impossible, to find.

    I am getting the 98122 cd stomper/Avery full kit. Running a Cannon MX490 printer. What I can't find is one video with a full detailed printing. I am lost here. So the sheets I have are 2 center small. 2 front and 2 side case spine. First, I gather I can get Avery software or others to create all. From there what do I do. Just stick the sheet of paper in printer and it will accept and print? Now say I only want 1 front of a cd printed. What happens to the rest of sheet of paper that is blank. Use it for next project and printer will know where to print next thus one big circle is missing?

      @Joseph Baumgardner I created my label on the Avery website and then clicked print to print it at home. I never printed only one label on the sheet, but I would think that it would be as easy as creating a design using the first label on the sheet and then printing it off. Then when I wanted to print another label, I'd go to the website, delete the old design on the first label, and then create a new one on the SECOND label and just run the sheet through your printer the same way you did before. It should bypass the first "used" label and print your design on the second label. Helpful hint: To save on the cost of labels, you could print it out on paper first and overlay it on your label sheet to be sure it's aligned correctly.

      @@Tribulation_Harvest update- First, I wish you would of sowed how to remove the label from the Avery sheet. Because I see now it is not as easy as it looks and they do rip fast. Going from my reply above and one you left I have this to add. I since did alot of looking into all and I started on the Avery website. I did since buy some Avery labels exactly like you have. I still have the cd stomper ones but that is for another day because they differ alot. I wanted to start simple. I myself did not like the Avery site. I found that when you add your own backing photo it always says error outside lines and so on. I attempted many of my own photos and ever resized alot on software. Still comes back way over the cd. I even resized a photo to size of a pebble just to see and same result. So I am out there. I assume though if you use the back drops they got it is fine. I just needed my own. I do see what people are talking about also that a print/ wording is slightly off center as well. That said I will also let you know there is a great software called Ronya Soft that I had for ages. It is a cd, dvd Blu-ray sheet cover and label maker. So I went on it and it has templates for Avery and a slew of others. I put the same photo on cd and no error. Looked perfect. Printed it out and outstanding label. So I made it that far and will put it on disk or attempt soon. I do have a cd stomper applicator to press label to disk. Never used any of this stuff but will give it a go. No to the printing subject as I mentioned in my first reply of how etc. This subject was costly to learn and still have not fully yet. Keep in mind I have the same label number as you. My printer feeds in from front bottom to print. Few times I printed on back side of label sheet. So that was ink costly. Another time I got it right then forgot next lol. As to the subject of printing one label on a two label sheet.... I flipped the paper around and inserted to print- issue solved. Just thought to stop by and update. Also if you still label stuff do look into Ronya Soft. It is the best. Does it all and it does have many template option when you go to print to select what you have label wise. Best part is it is a download software. Whereas some day Avery is gonna remove stuff from the web based site.

    Back in the days, before I got my NAS, I used to burn my movies onto DVD. I used a special "DVD Burner/Label Laser" external device. And with that I had to buy "laserable" DVD's . Ever use them?

    I have labels with 40mm holes and labels with 22mm holes. Do I need an applicator for each of them or is there an applicator that will manage both of them?
    Your external mic is much better.

    • @Tribulation_Harvest
      @Tribulation_Harvest  Před 4 lety +1

      I don't know if there are other label applicators out there that support various sized holes in cd/dvd labels, but this particular one does not. You'll need to do a little more research on that one. If you find a product that does what you're looking for, please come back and leave that info here in the comment section. I'm sure others who watch this video could benefit from that information.
      Yes, the mic I purchased has worked exceptionally well. I'm glad I opted to purchase it. Thanks for watching my video and taking the time to leave your comment. 😁

    Hi there, thanks for your video. I have a package of L7676 and sadly after I test them in my laptop's CD player, they start to peel off. But you are positive that if you insert them in a car CD player they won't peel off, correct?

    • @Tribulation_Harvest
      @Tribulation_Harvest  Před rokem +1

      Sorry, but I'm not guaranteeing anything. I'm not a label expert. I'm only sharing information that I gleaned from label manufacturers web sites. You may have had an issue with the CD labels because either the surface of the CD wasn't clean (may have had natural oil from your hands on the surface) or that you purchased a brand of labels that have a poor quality glue. I'd suggest you use DVD labels for your CD's because the glue is stronger. Again, I'm not making any guarantees on the quality or performance of any label you may choose to use.

      You just need to turn the large part of the spindle until it pops up. I don't remember if you turn it clockwise or counterclockwise. Try both.

      I updated the description section of this video a while back with the actual number of the label. I accidentally quoted the number on the label instead of the number on the package. Please check out the description section for the actual number. Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for watching the video!

      I saw your comment and went looking for it online. It was out of stock everywhere I looked. I discovered that the manufacturer stopped making this product on 30 MAR 2021. So to those who have one, treat it gently, because you may not be able to find another one unless you find one at a yard sale or flea market.
