The fact that this guy either went to an art school or practiced for probably years to learn to sculpting and is now making a realistic Lego character is the funniest to me. And I love it.
This reminds me of a plushie I got at Legoland. At first, it looked like a normal Lego man…but as it aged it begun to get wrinkled and weird. It didn’t help that it was a hard plush so it kept its shape and had wire inside to allow it to be posed (either that or the weird cardboard in it did that). It was cuddly, but in the same way a cardboard box filled with stuffing and covered in a thin sheet of fabric is. Therefore as the years went on, the fabric stretched out while the base stayed the same, turning my poor builder Lego man into an aged, horrifying, melty nightmare.

As an amateur artist, I love it, as a Lego Collector, I would KILL to have that on my shelf next to my Lego sets.
Maybe i’m weird but the thing that upsets me most about this is not the textures or skin or any of those details, but the fact his head connector and the brick connectors are different sizes! Btw great video, was on my recommended list, watch the entire thing at normal speed without skipping. You got a new subscriber!

What a joy to finally see a LEGO Minifig at the originally intended scale, complete with all the details and wrinkles and nipples the original creators wept to leave out when making them smaller and smaller
This is one of those masterpieces that you say "why" whenever you see it, but is kinda... cool
Fun fact: legos are expensive for the sole reason of licensing and the amount of money they pay professionals Lego engineers to come up with build designs. It can take years to come up with a complex build designs that work with existing frame works of Lego templates. A buddy of mine tried to get a job with Lego but they wanted him to spend some time in Denmark and he couldn’t do to a family situation.
