The Amiga years are the actual center of the space time continuum.
I find it amusing that it's the first message showing up on the comments section of a playlist of songs that are remixes (i.e. not Amiga originals) of songs that were often written by Jochen Hippel for the Atari ST first, oddly... Lethal Xcess, Amberstar, Wings of Death, A Prehistoric Tale... Maybe more. Goldrunner also originated on the ST, but its main tune was actually taken from an old tune by Rob Hubbard for the C64. Platoon and Turrican II were multi-platform, too, and originated in arcade. IIRC. I'm not sure about the rest.
And i did love Those days, everything was bew and exciting!!
This is the real remember the time for me. This music makes me feel good. Nice job dude! Amiga forever! (Guns'n'Roses too)
As far as I can hear, a verse in Amberstar Title took inspiration from Vangelis' Hymne
How did I not know about Stryx Intro? Nice one. Thanks for the great vid.
Thx for putting my Remix of "The Wall" on this 😊
Very cool work that hour and a quarter whizzed by.
The Wall remix = wow
Thanks by share dude. Greetings from Mexico
Buenísimo! Muchas gracias por compartir! Algunas suenan como una mezcla de Amiga y Jean Michel Jarre :D
GALAX MUSIC AND OTHER MUSIC
AMIGA CD POWER
Galax music is top
The Stryx Intro at 1:00:55 seems to got much influence from Jean Michel Jarre's Oxygene 8. I guess that's why it is called Oxidize Mix.
Indeed, a lot of amiga music games were influenced by electronic music composers such as Jean Michel Jarre or Vangelis .
Just remember the Captain Blood intro or the Drakkhen character's creation theme derived from the song 12 O'clock by Vangelis
+amigalemming The tune at about the 5:00 mark is also from JMJ a track called Zoolook.
34:00 is flatout stolen from Renaissance - Cold is Being. Interresting
What happened at 56:20 (and also at an earlier position) ?
Fury ;]
Minä suorastaan rakastan Commodore Amiga 1200
For the non-Finnish people: I absolutely love the Commodore Amiga 1200. Thanks Google translate
The timestamp for _Platoon_ is incorrect - it should be 53:17
Not only Platoon, but also the successive songs were messed up. Now timestamp should be fixed, thanks for your feedback
Heheh, _Platoon_ 's was the song I cared about the most :)
Ps. I didn't think that I receive so fast a reply - or any reply - to a comment left on a five year old video!
It's just up to the channel's owner, not the video age :)
Looks like I have messed up with the fade in / out fx
+FStarred Wish there were a non-messed up version. It's really annoying. Enough to make me contemplate downloading MP3s and making Winamp playlists rather than listening to these mixes... And I'd much rather not do that :/
+GuerillaBunny I'll adjust all these video as soon as possible. Btw, my primary purpose was to make enjoy people with amiga music, so I'm happy you do.
I do! And it's surprising because I never played most of these games. My family just couldn't afford it, so we had a C64 instead. And that's not to say that there we didn't have great games and great music. I just missed the Amiga, but the fact that I enjoy the music nonetheless just goes to show that there was something very special about game music back then.
+GuerillaBunny I'm sorry about that, I had a C64 too and to get an Amige we had to sell the C64.
They were both great computers, nothing more to say
+GuerillaBunny PS The video issues are now fixed. I'll do the same for the previous video ASAP
I prefer the first original remix of 3D galax from Xorishe. Has more power.
