Oh, the irony of the poor woman in the first incident. Those two hoodlums she escaped from, straight into the hands of a killer.
The cute blonde is future Dallas star Audrey Landers as Afton Cooper, Lucy Ewing sister in law. On Dallas Afton Cooper was also unfortunate with men. Both JR Ewing and Cliff Barnes has the same personalities as the 2 guys who flirted with her and the maniac that killed her.
Police Woman was one my favorite crime dramas. My mother loved the show, too. We didn't miss an episode. This was one of the best episodes. Rich Little used to crack us up with his impersonations. Playing a maniac must have been something different for him. He did an excellent job.
I think it was on quite late at night here in the UK/Britain. I had an american penpal Angie from the Big Blue marble show.
That Mark V that Little is cruising around in is quite a stunner.
The sound of the film passing through the projector is VERY QUITE ANNOYING.
This episode of "Police Woman" from 1977 the final season as season 4, came from a 16 mm film print, and we will not look for either the 1977 Columbia Pictures Television Starburst logo or the 1982 Columbia Pictures Television logo plastering the original 1977 "CPT" Starburst logo after the end credits are seen on "Police Woman." And rerun rights to "Police Woman" now belong to Sony Pictures Television, as the series 4 season run has been digitally remastered.
I call this a relic from the 70s.
Did they ever videotape an episode of "Police Woman"?
I have a memory of reading that they were thinking about it.
No I never got the chance to record any of the PW episodes on VHS tape when the tv series was airing in the 70's.
@@theallisonhayeschannel3610 Actually, what I meant was that there was talk of the producers of the series, instead of using film, as is the norm, using videotape to record a show.
I don't know if this was ever done.

Hmm, me neither.
They did an episode of POLICE STORY on video, but it looked pretty awful. No episodes of POLICE WOMAN were ever shot on video, however.
Not sure where this 16mm film is from, a syndication run or for a library vault, but it needs some minimum levels of readiness for this kind of transfer. The audiotrack on the film is dirty and why you hear the noise. The lens beyond the bulb on the transfer projector has dust in its left corner which is what causes the black spiders on the right. A lens cleaner would help. I am guessing the film versions of the episodes were found in an abandoned storage unit along with a projector to play them.
