- The "Cemetery of Lost Infants" at the Berachah Home in Arlington, Texas, is all that remains of the home, for three decades in the early 1900s a key component of the city's I.D. Donna Darovich narrates with a script by historian O.K. Carter.
I am a bereaved mother of two children, one lost in infancy, the other at age 18. Thank you for sharing this beautiful video. It always comforting knowing that our lost children are not truly lost, but they matter and belong. Bless you, and the memories of these precious lives.
I am sorry. I lost my two girls too. One at birth 26 yrs ago and then one at 21 in 2018. Child loss is a horrible loss

Each day, you are one day closer to being reunited for eternity with your children! May they RIP in the meantime.

Thanks got this story. All those children and there young mothers. My all. Of them RIP.
Thank you for this story .. You narrated this so well.. Very sad but interesting.. Those poor young mothers .. R.I.P. beautiful babes ...
Thank you Miss Donna. I will not forget them.🌹
Fascinating! May ALL the children rest in Jesus's loving arms.
A very sad story, but there must have been hundreds of girls and children who were saved from a miserable life. I am proud that Arlington and The Nazarenes were so welcoming and caring, even a long while ago. Giving these children a name and a marker was a great blessing.
Thanks for this.Very sad but interesting. I am watching from England 🇬🇧
I live in the Panhandle of Florida. I was visiting a cemetery here and its not being well cared for. I found a section with infants and young children. I started to try and clean around them but getting older and lots of the weeds had stickers. I could not do it by myself. Then hurricane Michael came and so little markers that showed were a grave was among them is forever lost.
Very nice, I have seen this cemetery on another CZcams channel but the host did not have all the info. Thank you for filling in the detals😊❤️
Just came across this video while browsing YT. Loved the history behind this and since I was adopted back in the early 1950s it kinda touched home, even though I found my birth family, but still don't think I was told the truth. Eventually my birth family and I parted ways since all my birth mother would say is, " that family that adopted you and your brother don't really care about you..." That didn't set well. After meeting my birth family, I feel very Lucky to have been adopted by the best parents a kid could have. My brother, who is actually my half brother, turns out our father's were brothers, long story.... But Thank You for this Gem. 🙂
Good story...glad everything eventually worked out. A lot of adults who grew up as adopted children relate to this video.
So sad God bless them all.🍃🌺🍃
They had a place to be born and a resting place they are not lost they were welcomed and loved that cemetery is a place of values and the goodness people can show each other this video has touched my heart it is a place to find hope all is not lost
Beautiful narration. It's a shame that some churches seemed ignorant to the teaching of the very Bible they read. The Upchurch's are surely in heaven. It's wonderful a book was written about this, these children need to be remembered, no matter who they were.
Enjoyed it! Thanks!
Well done Donna
Thank you, Donna. I’ve never researched this cemetery, but knew a bit about it. While working at UTA, I often walked through the cemetery on my lunch breaks.
Wonderful thank you
Wonderful as always. Thank you Donna.
The Home for Erring and Outcast GIrls, written by Julie Kibler, was based on the history of the Berachah Home.
Kibler is mentioned in the documentary.
This was so interesting. Thanks so much for sharing. >3
I’m from the U.K... but I found that so interesting and very sad.. to think these girls were scorned upon then some lost babies is terribly sad. R.I.P. Little souls. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you for sharing this story
I have been there and remember a cleanup effort while I was still at UTA
Very interesting and informative!
Makes you wonder what really happened to those poor lil babies RIP little Angels 👼👼
Well done Donna.
Great piece on our city and it's history. I remember when the building was still there when I moved to Arlington.
I enjoyed this even tho the content was quite sad. You have a wonderful voice perfect for narration.
Adoption is the best idea...
Yes it is!
Where did that “thumb down” come from?
There's always a critic.
From people that are not worth thinking about!
I'm hoping this is the case. (Nevermind, apparently they fixed this issue. Guess they really are critics :( )
Like the video. Now if you hit the like button a second time, it removes it from the liked videos playlist. However, doing so, automatically turns the dislike button blue.
I recommend hitting the 3 dots, and then clicking "remove from liked videos". Prevents the blue dislike.
It would be better to show close ups as we don't all have 20/20 vision
Thanks....we're amateur videographers, so it would be helpful if you could cite an example or two...are you talking about using larger picture in picture examples, or having them up for longer, or both?
@@owencarter3443 You actually showed very little of the cemetery. You mostly showed your wife talking. If you had taken the time to honor the actual graves, it would have been much better. People came to see the cemetery - not shots of UTA or your wife.
We always just called this what is was - a home for unwed mothers. It is saddest that most of the babies weren't given names - just numbers. Last time I went I was glad to see a protective fence at least.
wow
I gave a daughter up in a private adoption fourth two years ago I wonder every day if she is ok don't regret it the situation and environment was wrong her father left when I was two months bless you and these loves
I've found 3 lost children's cemeteries and nobody seems to care.
Donna, why wouldn't they name here baby's that's so sad there with Jesus and happy know amen.
So sad
