    Hi Andy, I was hoping you could answer some of my questions, I am considering buying the go pro 9 for windsurfing, the head mount perspective looks good with slalom gear, you can see a good amount of the board, sail and the ocean, but I’m wondering how the head mount perspective is with wave gear? Are you happy with the footage you get?

    • @AndyLaufer
      @AndyLaufer  Před 3 lety

      Hi, yes its really good. Actually in waves you can also use the "flymount" on the mast and boom front and end. Alwas use superview. Cheers

    Hi! Just curious, how will you rate the safety of wind foiling overall? Do the catapults hurt? Thanks so much!

  • @aeroegnr
    @aeroegnr Před 3 lety +1

    What caused the crash at 1:48 and how do you prevent it? I've had it happen a few times

    • @davidebalzarotti7162
      @davidebalzarotti7162 Před 3 lety +2

      on the foil you want to close the sail on the back of the board to create pressure on the stabiliser and to put your body weight more on the front to create pressure on the front wing in order to make he foil work as hard as possibile, but if you go to high and the wings slice the surface of the water they lose efficiency (due to air density equal to 1/1000 times less than the water density) and if your balance is over the front wing than you will "reverse wheelie", so your board will point the water and impact on a very raked position, slowing you down instantly and catapulting you. So, if the foil reaches its height limit, put your body weight on the mast, you will land with the back of the board first than the front (so no falling) and you will start flying soon :) If you manage to train more, you will also be able to let the wings gain drag before you touch the water but that's not easy at all
