During the Comedy Central run, they kind of ran a fire sale on all the social problems they set up in the series so they'd have to build up their lore all over again. Also, they pulled the "entire series is a time loop" trope at the end, which is generally final for a series.

@BlueLasagna. Tbf Scarlet and Violet, while a step in the right direction, suffers from similar issues, but unlike Swsh they added more pokemon in both DLCs and made several UU pokemon viable again. Even former Ubers. Like Latias now with the new type changing mechanic is probably the best poison type out there with access to Dragon Cheer and other great stuff along with her brother Latios.
