I know I loved that part. How she kept a straight face during some of it shows her potential. I only say that because her primary is music I think it always will be but I fully believe as she progresses more things will open up for her. She has already proved she has amazing vision & I cant wait to see more🥰

Seriously….there was a church in Houston, TX that really DID have pole dancing classes. Their motto was “the higher up on the pole, the closer to Jesus”. The 00’s were a wild time.

Not taking away from Heidi, great job on all the regulars in this but singers may be better than regular folk not having stage fright but aren't practiced at getting deep in a different character for a few different skits and I'll say, she is definitely entirely that character in this

Depends on which era of SNL we're talking about: if this was on during the Jean Doumanian era (1980-1981), NBC would have flipped their crap and fired Jean sooner while critics would have branded this the sketch that killed SNL. I can kind of see this working during the Eddie Murphy/Joe Piscopo era between 1982 and 1984. The 1984-1985 season (the one that had Billy Crystal, Martin Short, Christopher Guest, and, for a short while, Harry Shearer) was an all-white cast, so, unless this was done during Eddie Murphy's second time hosting (and first time he hosted after leaving the show), I can't imagine this being on there. The 1985-1986 season (the season that had Joan Cusack, Robert Downey Jr., Anthony Michael Hall, Randy Quaid, Dennis Miller, Terry Sweeney, Danitra Vance, and Damon Wayans as cast members) was home to a lot of bizarre, train-wrecky sketches that critics and audiences, once again, saw as awful and unbecoming of SNL, so this would fit right in. The Dana Carvey/Phil Hartman era (1986-1989) wouldn't have this, unless they had a rap group or a black celebrity as a musical guest, because, as good as that cast was, it was mostly white people. It wouldn't be until the 1990s that Chris Rock, Tim Meadows, and Ellen Cleghorne would join.
Because Satanic deception wasn’t as widespread then as it is now.
