Hi Jeremy, check if you have image stabilization "on" when using Filmic Pro, you may need to turn it off. Maybe the stabilizer app does it automatically

Getting my office/studio kinda like yours with the lighting and concept. I look forward to your videos. I imagine the vignetting is down to inbuilt stabilisation within the apps. To stabilise the clip the edges of the image are cropped and the frame is continuously realigned, so perhaps one app is better than the other at doing this.

Samsung has great color profiles on their footage to start with.
Just get the Cinema 4k app where you can record in a ridiculous 200mbps in flat and combine that with an anamorphic lens and you're good to go. And a gimbal.

I own the moment anamorphic, wide and the 58mm. Disappointed as the wide and the anamorphic give me blurred black lines that creep in the edge of the screen on edge of where the lens is closest to (case is mounted the anamorphic plate is aligned for the xs max but still get the same thing) - not in the iphone video but is in the moment app and filmic pro as well. Other than that the 58 looks real clear
@@AMC-throwaway that sounds like it might be the cameras attempt to stabilize the footage. I wonder if turning the stabilisation off and just using a gimbal would correct that. If not you might just have to crop in slightly in post
Will Berry yeah I did more testing to determine itâs the stabilization on when running in moment app and filmic pro. Turned it off and the problem went away but issue then is that no matter how much of a counterweight you put on the gimbals they have a subtle shake (zihyun smooth 4). So yeah likely have to just crop, doesnât do it with the photo app of moment though.

Because I mean im not exactly sure on how to use them all with my work. Should I start with just one and go from there? I've been looking at the wide cinema edition lens.Any advice would help A LOT!! The filmic pro app is paired for the moondog lens. This might be what causes the vignette.

If you have a pixel galaxy or 1 plus phone I would probably go with Moment since they make cases for those and have an anamorphic lens too
Is it possible that the movie app is cropping it slightly tighter? What Iâm saying is that the vignetting Iâm seeing on the Apple app suggest to me that theyâre doing some kind of stitching in the video. Not too dissimilar to when you do those crazy Panoramicâs. But maybe just a slight stitching to give you a wider angle? I donât know if that makes any sense. But Iâd be curious to see you put your iPhone on a tripod in a fixed position and get some frame of reference to judge so we can see what the videos look like in the movie versus the app on the phone to see exactly whatâs in the field of view on the final footage when you put it on the video to see if maybe one app gives you more or less in the footage.... Great video, as usual. Iâm too curious to find out the answer to my question to think of something funny to say today. Iâll double up on the next video. đđđ
Yeah, itâs a weird on for sure. I need to do some more testing when I have some time. It definitely could be that. Also might have something to do with the phones stabilization. Because it only pops in when you move the camera around. So maybe the stabilization is floating that crop around and showing the corners occasionally. đ€·đ»ââïž

In regards to the vignetting do you think it could be the OIS and the movi just doesnât have OIS as an option. I know you canât turn it off in native app?

Probably the vignetting could be caused by the Image stabilization.

Question. Do I de-squeeze in post of before starting to film? Also, does that mean that when I de-squeeze it will get rid of the black bars on top and bottom? The reason I want to film with the lense is because of the black bars making it look more cinematic.

I am weighing up this over there moment anamorphic which I ordered but think I might return because you can only screw the larger Nd filters on theirs which are super expensive. Can I ask one question.. what's the weight like with both the anamorphic and Nd lens with case (or clip).. I'm thinking that it's a 37mm Nd lens so lighter than the 62/67mm? I havenât used the moment ones a bunch. They are really similar quality, both are rock solid. I need to get ahold of some moment lenses and do some closer testing on image quality. I bet they are pretty close. đđ»

I know this is not related to this specific vlog, but I wanted to ask if you had any recommendations for a Bluetooth ear buds that are preferrably in-ear. I've tried the Apple Air pods and the Samsung galaxy buds with my Galaxy S10+ 1Tb phone. The main problem is those previous pods keep falling out but the other problem with the Apple Air pods simply couldn't get them to go loud enough to hear when say running or when I'm at the gym and the crappy music was over powering the Air pods lol. I'm shopping now so any feedback is appreciated!

Why go to the trouble and expense of using an anamorphic lens, which can twist and warp the image, when you could use a wide-angle adapter, and crop the top and bottom for the anamorphic aspect ratio? In either situation, youâre getting the full horizontal resolution of the camera, and software is throwing away the top and bottom to give you the wide/short aspect ratio.
