Hey friends, love your work, FYI floating brake calliper set ups are usually intended to eliminate or reduce brake jack ( where the suspension extends under braking forces) this is why it was far more common 20+yrs ago. Orange 222, GT Lobo, Santa Cruz straight 8 etc, all benefited from floating brakes. If you see them at WC's these days it's usually rider feedback trying to eliminate harshness under brakes.
45:33 Totally missed dad joke opportunity. “Different spokes for different folks”
👏👏👏
oh yes this is my favorite podcast lineup right here!
You the man Mario.
@mtbpodcast what exact milwaukee saftey glasses does jared wear? I have used the ones with half frame and they work great at work and commuting
Love to listen to you guys at work. I learn so much through these yap seshs. Hi Bean
Bean says hi 🐈⬛
Back at it again - az alwayz - you guyz rule - thanx for everything 🔥🤙
I’m always surprised how many people live a chain before a ride. After a ride you should clean and relube. Better prevents corrosion when it sits and it’s ready to go next time you want to ride without last minute work. And it has time to dry.
Talking about hippos
Jared - "Their bodies aren't very conducive to being good swimmers"
Blue Whales - "Say what?"

I have never added wax in between soaking in the crock pot. Never needed to.
Also, I don’t see a reason to gets silcas new wax pot. Get a $15 small crock pot. Use it on low is perfect. Just set it up to drip into it when it’s hanging. I have the crock pot on a table and use a hook that my bike hangs from to hang the chain on so it drips into crock pot. You could just pound a long nail into the wall above the pot
I raced with Reggie this past weekend. Super nice guy! Getting the bike race scene some extra visibility. Charles Barkley or Michael Jordan next????
That is epic! Charles Barkley would be awesome... Gnarly Barkley anybody??
YES! Let's get Reggie Miller on the Pod Cast! Mountain Flyer Mag just featured him in their #79 winter issue, and he had some great positive energy!
Would be so awesome to have him!
Another great one.. I would be great to hear a bit about Forbidden Druid in the future 🙂👍
Review coming at some point in the future ;)
Lmao Jared said we should take Zach's words of wisdom FOR a grain of salt 😂. Not even sure what that means 😂.
lmao for, with, same thing right? ;)
Jared, you really missed an opportunity there.. "different spokes for different folks."
I'll get em next time 🥲
I don't agree with " if u don't know how to work on bikes, DON'T". Anyone with common sense can learn. It's not Rocket Science. Now if you're careless, or lack common sense & patience... That's definitely different.😅
Lacking patience is definitely the main factor with our boy Zack 😂
Squirt is sticky, Smoove is slightly better. But Silca Super Secret isn’t at all, much better.
Effeto Mariposa Flower Power is the best.
@@JulianKent It’s a bit dirtier than Silca though, Effetto is better for wear. I’d rather sacrifice a bit of wear for cleanliness.
Is Flower Power sticky at all like Squirt? I chose Silca over FP because of the amount of build up visible in the ZFC tests. Thought it might be tacky like Squirt.
No, it flakes/powders off. Much cleaner in the long run than squirt, since it doesn't accumulate.
I always clean and lube after a ride, I don’t lube before a ride. But I did have shifting issues with Squirt getting gunky. Granted that’s one experience on one of my bikes over several years.
I’ve heard good things about the Wolf Tooth lube.
