Hey! I am currently on vacation, but would love if you can help other readers out by sharing your top standalone? 👀
The house in the Cerulean sea by TJ Klune is NOT a standalone novel anymore. We are getting a sequel to this book this year.
I'm about to finish Sword of Kaigen and OMG... I've been crying since chapter 7. IT'S SOOO GOOD!!! I've never felt so many emotions while reading a book (or watching a movie or a TV show). It's already one of my favorite books of all time.
Me, I am the person who didn't like the Sword of Kaigen. I read it 2 years ago and the story wasn't finish. The ending introduces a character arc with more things to come. I do not enjoy unfinished business. If this was to be a standalone it could had done without the final chapter
I was watching the ranking, and as it was nearing the end, I was thinking: "How sword of Kaigen did not make the list ?!?! " 😅 It is one of the best stories out there, and I am still carrying it within me.
Sword of Kaigen my fav book of all time
I’ve read 62/76 which is listed in the info!!
I read The Sword of Kaigen and I liked it, but it's not even in my top 10. I think the hype leading up when I read it led me to feel a little disappointed.
I use to want Night Circus made into a movie…but I think Hollywood destroy it
uhm. I think the real question here is. is that a new puppy?
It’s always great to hear praise of The Night Circus 😊.
TJ Klune impressed me. I've read 2 or 3 of his books now, and you nailed it. His stories and style are refreshing and unique. You want to block out the world and enjoy it.
I have to agree, I've read the majority of these and they're very solid picks! I love that you highlight Yumi, I feel like that's the best of the Secret Projects but just not getting the recognition it deserves.
Sword of Kaigen, Yumi and Project Hail Mary are probably my top three stand alones. So good! All of them.
Absolutely loved Addie LaRue and House in the Cerulean Sea! Hoping to read Piranesi and lots of other ones from this list soon!!
I loved Piranesi, and I'm halfway through Sword of Kaigen and loving it. I also liked Warbreaker and Tress of the Emerald Sea more than I did Elantris.
Amazing! Always on the hunt for standalones to read between long series. Thank you ❤
❤📚❤️ Your excitement is so contagious! I've read most of these, and the ones I haven't are on my tbr. I agree with you 100%!
Thanks for this, a number of books here that I've read and loved and so many that I have on my virtual TBR!
I love the way you described these books, thank you for the recommendations!
