Favorite Undertaker match? I’m such a HUGE fan of his. He’s been literally my life so The Undertaker has sentimental value to me therefore while I’m happy he’s at peace with retiring and is happily retired bc he more than deserves to be happy and spend quality time with his family after giving his life to this business and fans myself included for over 30 years even through injury and all that.
So with all that said I’m sorry to say that I’ll have to try to pick a favorite from each of his 30 years in WWE bc that’s honestly the best way for me to state my favorite match of his:
1990: Survivor Series 1990 minus being eliminated by count out AFTER he tagged out therefore he was not the legal man so it was a mistakenly wrong call to have him be eliminated.
1991: Survivor Series bc he won the world title defeating Hogan who was everything in wrestling at the time. But should’ve been a longer reign and gotten a 1 on 1 rematch. I’d have him win cleanly without Flair at Summerslam. Still don’t understand why he wasn’t in a match that night at all lol.
1992: RR match or WM8
1993: RR match bc of how dominant he was and that he probably would’ve won if it wasn’t for Gonzalez lol.
1994: The 3 ppv matches had great Undertaker entrances. But my favorite match from this year was Survivor Series.
1995: Bad year imo for Undertaker creative and booking wise. But Survivor Series is again my favorite bc of how dominating he was.
1996: RR, WM12, KOTR, Summerslam, Buried Alive match, Survivor Series. Whether he won or lost, he put it all into all these matches. He made Mankind’s career no doubt about it.
1997: Summerslam 97, HIAC 1 vs HBK.
1998: RR, WM14, Unforgiven, KOTR, Summerslam.
1999: KOTR
2000: KOTR, Unforgiven, Survivor Series
2001: WM17
2002: RR bc of his reaction to being eliminated and the beating Maven got bc of it along with Taker’s dominance, WM18
2003: RR, Vengeance, triple threat with Lesnar and Big Show, the WWE title match the following week against Kurt Angle, handicap match against Show and Lesnar allowing him to choose his opponent, match and where it happens if he won (he chose Vince McMahon at Survivor Series in a Buried Alive match)
2004: Armageddon Fatal 4 Way
2005: All the matches against Randy Orton. The rivalry of the year on SD if not entire WWE.
2006: NWO and the rematch on SD against Kurt Angle for the world championship except for Mark Henry’s interference costing Taker the win in the rematch.
2007: RR ending with HBK and all the matches against Batista. The rivalry of the year on SD if not entire WWE.
2008: All the matches against Edge. The rivalry of the year on SD.
From 2009 to 2013: WM
2015: the two ppv matches against Lesnar
2019: with Reigns against McIntyre and Shane at Extreme Rules ppv. Bothers me that he was left off WM35 and the SD on FOX debut episode entirely. For the SD episode he was simply told he “wasn’t needed” lol big mistake there imo.
2020: WM36
I’ll always respect appreciate and remember him. The Undertaker has an eternal life in my memory but I’ll always miss him. WWE and the business entirely won’t be the same without him.
During the mid 90's I was blessed to be one of the local "enhancement talent" guys in the Southern California area. I got to meet Mr. Calaway and be around him a few times during those years. He was always super cool and respectful to me and the other guys. He always treated us like part of the family, like we belonged there. Not all of the superstars were friendly and cool like that, but he always was. And that's something that me and everyone else always appreciated.
So nice to hear this
Who didn't treat you well?
Thanks for this great comment. It really helps solidify what a very good person Mark Calaway is. As amazing a talent as he is in wrestling/wwe, he’s equally as special a person. Kind & respectful to fans as well as workers at all levels at the arenas etc. Taker is the GREATEST
To anyone that happens to see this I'm adding this to this person's comment cuz it might help you look this is how you become a leader from what this man said you don't treat anyone as if they're beneath you cuz when it comes down to it we're all men and we're all women we're all just human beings and anything can happen to you to bring you down to whatever level you think somebody else is on so remember nobody's beneath you nobody's above you we're all just people make your moves and become who you want to become if it makes you happy because the only person on this Earth is going to ever care if you're happy or not is you that's it nobody else nobody and I mean nobody I hope this helped someone and if it don't well at least I got to say it out loud have a great day I love you all goodbye
That's an awesome story man. Congrats to you and what an experience to have.
Good interview. Mark is a real chilled out humble person. Great to see him inducted into the HOF, no one deserves it more.
So down to earth. It was wild lol. Thanks for the kind words :)
You are right no one deserves it more than the Undertaker in all pro wrestling and I think Vince McMahon knew that he wanted the Undertaker to get inducted in front of a live audience and I got that I just thought no disrespect to Kane but how can you induct the on-screen little brother of The Undertaker before the Undertaker it's actually absurd but everyone gets what they want the Undertaker gets in the Hall of Fame Vince got to do it in front of a live audience he felt the Undertaker deserved that and I agree and Kane should be in the Hall of Fame but I believe it should have been after the Undertaker
@@danielwebster5748 thats ridiculous. Who cares what order. Thats just based on whose older and when they retired. You re only person whose upset by that. They re not related in real life. Was just a story. 2 separate careers. 2 diff people.
@SHAK Wrestling guessing taker speech gonna be 2 hours.hes the only solo act going in.besides sharmel and Steiner bros, they gonna give him all the time he wants

I've been a wrestling fan for over 30 years, and I've never heard of this guy
@@troll-fx2zc where you been hiding?
Yes yes yes yes
@@troll-fx2zc then you should stop doing wrestling and watch some match - the guy is a legend and probably top 3 all times wrestler - not only he was gifted to move that fast for his size but he was a general in the locker room and got the respect of everyone - not many people could do that during attitude era
I love hearing the Undertaker do interviews now, you can tell he is enjoying himself
Agreed! So nice to see him warm up to the process
In another interview he was asked what he's doing now that he's retired. His answer was, "Learning how to be Dad." I thought that answer was so interesting because we don't realize how much those superstars are away from their families.
It's amazing how different he is when out of character. It proves how good he really was, and how hard he worked to protect the character over the years. He is one of the last of the true greats.
I've been a WWE fan for 50 + years. There is no question the Undertaker is the greatest entertainer/wrestler I have ever witnessed. As a 67 year old guy I'm not ashamed to say I had tears in my eyes when he laid his jacket and hat down in the ring and exited. Chilling. Also at his HOF induction I didn't want his speech to end. He is as brilliant a speaker as he is an athlete. I wish Mark Calaway the best. He'll always remain my favorite WWE Superstar.
This man gave us more than we deserved and I'll always be grateful. Hero's get remembered, but Legends never die.
Especially with technology, future generations will be able to catch up on these classic matches and drama by the greatest over the top characters and the humans behind them
My favorite Undertaker , moments was at the funeral parlor and Jake the Snake asked him with side he's on and he's like " not yours" then got his hand locked in a casket and became Supernatural.
His television debut. Hadn't seen anything like him before, and child me was definitely impressed.
Definitely terrified*
I was a huge Hogan fan up until that very moment.
@@drillosophy1012 I liked it when he tombstoned Hogan, and I was a Hogan fan as well lol
The more of Mark I see, the more fascinated I become. This guy is just in a class of his own. We're all gonna be ugAlay crying tomorrow night
i remember bein a little kid i have no idea when it was sometime in the 90s and almost cryin cuz he legit got hurt n i could tell n i thought he wasnt gonna be there no more...but he damn near no sold that shit..hell of a man
He’s the Michael Jordan of wrestling. Miss him in action with kane and the brothers of destruction. I can listen to his stories all day.
He'll have plenty to tell in the years to come, I'm sure
I think taker is the lebron of wrestling coz of the longevity. For me Bret Hart is the Michael Jordan of wrestling
Agree
nah not michael jordan. he def belongs in the hall of fame though.
@@ankh-ef-en-khonsu3274 anyone wold agree he’s the greatest of all time for wrestling. His wrestlemania records is comparable. Mount Rushmore of wrestling. He’s the 🐐 just like Jordan. It’s a good comparison.
Always loved the Hell in the Cell. But my favorite memory was literally meeting him in a Blockbuster Video. Feels like so long ago now.
I was born in 85 and I grew up watching wrestling. The whole time I never considered Taker to be one of the greats; I always thought of Hogan, Flair, Austin, The Rock etc etc. But now looking back I realise how wrong I was. Taker *IS* WWE and he should have been in the Hall of Fame LONG ago. I'm annoyed I didn't give him more credit in his hay day.
You are very welcome Taker. You were one of the main reasons why I enjoyed watching wrestling. I loved watching you, hulk hogan, Andre the giant, Brutus The barber beefcake, “Mr. perfect” Curt Hennig, The Von Erichs, razor Ramon, papa Shango, The ultimate warrior, macho man etc, all you guys were just amazing to watch in the ring!!
What a great guy and GOAT
To the Undertaker, you've had so many classic moments that it's hard to pick a favorite. You can't say one is truly better than the other because they are all great. Hulk Hogan was the golden boy for so many years then all of a sudden, here comes the Undertaker. He's a dark individual and who is not here to enrich your everyday life. He just wants to destroy you and drag your soul to hell and claim your soul.
I'll miss you Undertaker.
I’ll try to summarize this as much as possible. I was around 5 or 6 when Undertaker came out in Survivor Series. He scared the Hell out of me. That was saying something because I watched horror movies all the time. But I suffered from Night Terrors, almost nightly, since I was three years old. They were so messed up that even at 40 years old, I remember many of them very vividly. The second he turned face by grabbing the chair from Jake the Snake, I got emotional. Here is this huge behemoth who was beating on my Ultimate Warrior, I was pissed! 😂 Undertaker was almost indestructible at the time, so when he turned face, I got chills up my spine. Yes! This monster is a “Good Guy (face)”. From there he aided me and even a lot of times took over in my night terrors. I would get blasted with guns point blank and my throat slit, all kinds of messed up stuff. So when he appeared in my terrors, I felt safe. He has been the biggest hero of my life since then, because of which, I have started an Undertaker Sleeve on my right arm. Thank you Taker! I hate to see you go. But at the same time I’m very happy for you. You definitely deserve it. Enjoy your family now. RIP!
Awesome dude 🤘🏼
I watched undertaker's debut the day it happened. I instantly loved the character and was one of the ones who was happy when he beat Hulk Hogan 91. So glad to see him getting the respect he deserves and finally being able to say goodbye with fans in attendance. By far my favorite wrestler of all time period.
Which Survivor Series was it? I have awful memory and was born toward the end of the Attitude Era
@@KagekiriTorikoIt was the 1990 Suvivor Series. I was 11 at the time.
When I saw Taker emotionlessly walk out with belt from Hogan. To me, at least, it sent a message that Paul Bearer was the Gravest Challenge and not taker. Paul was the one excited about his indestrucible zombie getting the title, not taker. To me, it made Bearer look like a combination of Dr. Frankenstein meets Dr. West and Taker was the man made monster powered by a source thst the general public couldnt understand.
@@joelzedney4299 that’s such a good way of putting it
The Undertaker will still be relevant in 3022...provided humans are still alive. Legends never die!
I know what Undertaker means about him retiring. I use to play wheelchair basketball for almost 12 years and had to retire. And when I did. It was the hardest thing I had to do to take my Basketball jersey off for the last time. I cried. Man ! It was so hard to take that jersey off. Because I knew it would be all over as soon as I took it off.
One of my favourite Taker moments was when he won the Royal Rumble in 2007. It was one of the rare ppvs that I got to see live and I was so stoked to see Taker come out on top at the end of it!
I've been a fan of Undertaker since he debuted in the WWE. I knew one day he would be inducted into the hall of fame. I just never thought I'd live long enough to actually witness it. So happy for Mr. Calloway.
Undertaker has respect for Vader even knew something might happened

Taker is a legend. He kept character for so long beside the limp bizkit era. He'll in the cell and boilerroom brawl to great matches and all the casket matches buried alive as well
God bless the undertaker for being one of my greatest hero's of my childhood.
Taker has always been a class act. Thank you for your praise on Scott Hall. He had his demons, rest well Scott.
Literally cried watching The Undertaker take his place in The Hall of Fame. 🤗🙏😍
All I can say is from the first second of taker debuting, I was like. Holy shit. This is the best character ever. Loved everything about it, and then came Stone cold. My 2 favorite of all time.

Love ya Taker!
From what I've seen over the years, it would be an understatement to say that there are many different types of people in the wrestling industry. But if I had first pick be Mark Calaway. With much respect for a man who gave everything to his work. For a man who strives for professionalism, humility, integrity, and at the same time, someone you don't want to mess with. Legend etched in Professional Wrestling history. God Bless and may happiness be with you for the rest of your life.
Thank you for all the memories undertaker thank you 🙏
My favorite wrestler of all times the greatest entrance ever!!!!!! I remember when he debuted 👏👏 to his Hof .I just wish Paul bearer was here to see it but he's watching from above saying ohhhhhh yeahhhhhhh!!!!!😇💯✊

Thank you for everything you have done for us in this industry
An absolute pleasure you are.
After 30 something years in the ring, he deserved the WWE championship more than 7 times. This Legend will live on forever
Taker, my dad and I would always watch smackdown and cheer for you. It was almost like you were an uncle or something you meant so much to us. So many many classic and really timeless storylines you were involved in. Fantastic Kurt angle matches with you stand out. The story when Kane was found to be still alive. Your voice which resonated into our spirits when you introduced the ministry and took back Paul bearer. Vs Bret Hart. Vs mark Henry. And so many more. You've shown me indirectly how to be consistent and strong and I've taken that into my adult life and into raising children. Although my dad passed away over a decade ago he would've loved to hear all these amazing back stories we never heard. Keep it going! And thank you.
I am 29 now and I started watching wrestling the day I saw the Undertaker as a very young child on the tv.I was mesmerized by him and as happy as I am he rests now,I will not lie I find it so sad because I know now The Undertaker rests in peace.Thank you so much for the magical years Undertaker you have and always will be my favourite.
All the words that i have left on my mouth are this to you man
Thank you soooo much for all those years of good fights Undertaker! You are and will be my most favorite wrestler in all the history of WWE. God bless you

The greatest WWF superstar of all time!
I still remember survivor series 1990 first entrance and first match. I was watching live and undertaker became my favorite wrestler. Back in the day there was no social media, I used to transmit via radio frequency and I called myself undertaker 😆. It was like a dream years later seen him wrestle Kane here in Puerto Rico. Good memmories.
That's awesome
I love the DeadMan Inc & Kane Brothers Of Destruction story lines. My favorite part was when Limp Bizkit came on & u see both of them walking down the ramp probably the most intimidating thing ever seen on TV. Awesome thank u Taker
He’s a True Legend of wrestling, god bless you allways undertaker ❤️
Definitely one of the greatest. Personally think some that have been inducted before, don't deserve that honor, but not when it comes to the Deadman.
Much deserved HOF induction
True Legend. One of a kind. Always enjoyed the Under Taker
Been a fan since his WCW days as Mean Mark Callous. Knew the day would eventually come when he retired, was sad but thankful for the memories. Glad to hear what he thought about the Boneyard match. I remember AJ saying he was glad and excited about it.
Great interview. I cant stress enough how jealous I am that you got to talk to this guy. Legend
Haha I'm super grateful. He was so down to earth
I remember first seeing him when he was Mean Mark in WCW on tv when I was a kid, and being extremely impressed with his look and agility.

Taker is so cute when he laughs and smiles ❤❤❤❤❤
His Survivor Series Debut and add his beginning career of The Undertaker was sold pretty well. I was 11 and legit believed he was a Zombie. He probably had one of the best careers of all wrestlers.
He has done many interviews in this tshirt.

Thank you for giving your all. You brightened mine and my kids' lives. You'll always be the bad-ass hero to me. Take good care of you
What a legend even here in the UK the Undertaker is.
My personal favourite was when the Great Khali came to face him in 2006 I believe, The pure shock of the fans as khali put down the Undertaker was priceless.
Grew up with this man...my favorite era of the deadman was from his debut up to WrestleMania XIII....the snap up from the steel steps at Survivor Series 1993 with Yokozuna was definitely a woah thats cool moment... Speaking of Yoko..The summer of 1993 when he did his first appear out of nowhere with the lights when he said "take you and your gold and meet me on the darkside" to yoko on WWF Superstars was another moment that sticks out 30 years later.... Producing a corpse of Diesel...locking warrior in a casket...Kamala's face every time the bell tolled...the moment he beat Sid for the title was a great nod to him and his fans...the matches from that era were great as a kid...the 2 casket matches with yoko i still go back and watch, i personally think the match at XII with Diesel was the best match he did from that period of the streak, and i will admit to 14 year old me the much derided taker v faker match was great tv...grey and black undertaker won me at survivor series 1990, purple and black undertaker is where I fell in love and became invested in that character... Aside from that era..i really enjoyed the build up to WrestleMania XXV, it was a blatant nod to that early deadman era...and the match that was delivered by him and HBK that went with it to me is the perfect wrestling match...and since he has broken KAYFABE its been absolutely fascinating to finally get to hear his story from him after all these years... I really hope that he puts out an autobiography... My guess is that it would be as thick as The Stand. #ThankYouTaker
Hulk hogan was my favorite as a kid, but when he came in, I was just in awe with his character, I forgot about hogan and the undertaker became my favorite wrestler, I’m happy that I got to see him in the ring once
The same thing happened to me, only the guy that Taker came to replace in my heart was Jake. ;)
Pretty much the same way with me as Hogan was always my favorite but then as I grew older Hogan's schtick grew very old then I discovered The Undertaker and he's been my favorite ever since
I have been a fan of wrestling since they were called the WWF, Back when there were 3 channels on the television long before remote controls. This was by far the best induction speech I have ever seen, What a class act the undertaker is, I never really understood what they were talking about being on the outside of the business when they talk about Mark being the locker room leader, However after seeing this speech I get a better perspective of what they are talking about.
Icon. Absolute ICON.
Props to this interviewer. Utterly and completely professional and personable.
I think when all the smoke clears and you factor Everything from style to storyline. The undertaker should be at least considered one of the Greatest if not The Greatest wrester of All time. And what a Class Act man!!!
Unbelievable interview and lots of excellent questions with great in depth answers about lots of things especially the whole Corporate Ministry / higher power angle as well as the infamous 1997 Vader interview. What Mark Calaway did with The Undertaker and the longevity of that character will never, ever be duplicated. Like the saying goes, you have to give people their roses while they are still here.
He deserves every bit of the honors, awards, and recognition that he will get now and in the future. We use that word “legend” so often that sometimes it gets watered down a bit. But in every sense of that word, this man is.
Many congratulations to him on an iconic, illustrious, legendary and now Hall of Fame career. Wishing him much happiness and good times with his family in his retirement.

Great interview. I used to work as a security guard where Mark and Michelle live in Austin. Used to see them all the time. They are super nice people. I went by their house a few times just to visit. Mark and Michelle is just so layed back. I will never forget when Mark stopped by the guard shack to let me know that Mark Henry would be coming in. I told Mark that I will give Mark Henry shit when he comes in. This long black limo pulled up to the gate and the limo driver said they are going to Mark Calaway's house. Mark rolled down his window and I said I need 3 forms of ID. Need your DL, Credit Card and SS. Mark Henry looked like I was crazy. I said that's part of of the policy here. Finally told him, I know who you are. Later on, they came back through my gate. All of em was just laughing their ass off. Mark Henry said you did get me. LOL. Miss seeing the Calaways.

No matter what anyone said about wrestling the undertaker is the only wrestler that when them bells toll, You believe again and you forget reality and you believe in the phenom that he commands lightning and is the reaper. Also on a more light hearted moment i just noticed he has his computer set up in the kitchen this makes me laugh because i only know of old folks that do that lol. Love you taker
Great interview mate! Can tell you are a real fan of wrestling and thanks for asking taker about specific storylines! (Subscribed)
Amazing, Callum. Thanks so much for the kind words and thrilled to have you on board 😃
Awesome interview, with some great questions too. Taker had a long carreer but he remembers details and had a good response for any question that you asked him :)
