- Join the concrete crew as we finish up this custom patio project with my favorite part, the concrete pour. The weather was perfect, the concrete was good, and the customer was happy. It doesn't get any better. Enjoy

The girls are doing a great job with the videos!! Getting some really good shots and the pacing is perfect. Do NOT be afraid to use some of the old music for time-lapses. I know there is always pressure to find something new, but those old songs are nostalgic!

I don't know anything about concrete but I think the angle looks a little out of place by the steps can you tell me why it couldn't be right in the middle
@@jgrimes3284 have you ever seen a control joint in the middle of concrete steps anywhere? It doesn't look good. Draw it out on a piece of paper and you'll see it looks weird
I don't like it, it's the first thing my eyes go to and it forces me to look at it, thinking something's off but that's just my opinion.
Marcell is really doing a good job this year, such a good worker.

Suggestion for later pours with kids in the house, maybe bring or make a small wood mould with a bottom for the excess concrete (thin) and have them put their hand and name, a little heirloom for the family :) Love your vids and the crew :D
Sounds like a huge waste of time
Are they not casually wasting time during every pour? Does it not take several minutes for concrete to set? Might as well make some kids happy? Just keep a pre-made mould in the back of the truck and pour leftovers, parents can do the rest with the kids. Literally one shovel of concrete and a few swipes. 1 minute, maybe 2..

My concrete patio pour is being done today in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Wish these guys were doing it but the guys I hired are great too. This channel has made me a concrete nerd and I can't wait to watch them do their magic! lol
I'm here in Green Lake which is West of Fond du Lac and I have a patio and firepit project coming up in a few weeks.
The guys I use have done three jobs previously for me and do excellent work, but I do wish I could work with Ryan and his crew.

I love watching your videos. I'm a young co-owner of a carpentry company, watching how you interact with your employees helps me alot. I have a lil temper but everytime I watch your videos I can find situations that I relate to and it helps me be a better boss and how to handle employees

You treat your employees with a lot of respect, great job! My father owned a large construction company we met for breakfast at a local restaurant everyday. Dad arrived at 5:30 waited till 6:30 to pay the bill, everyone that was there before 6:30 got a free breakfast. (never an exception) Trucks rolled at 7.. Might help with some of the tardy players.

Ryan i did my own garage 40x21 me and one helper. I am 67, man it liked to have put me in the grave that one day in the week i could get concrete it was 97 degrees never again! Turned out great. Thanks to watching you. Oh yeah there is so much more work than the viewers get to see, you make it look so easy.

These are always my favorite. Block walls with pillars and a nice patio. Great job. Poor Eric and his grass snake arms lol! DTD didn’t really break anything. Just some minor block splashing, form running over, and ran out of gas. I don’t even think we saw the new guy touch cement in this video. I’m still waiting to see DTD finish a square. I think Autumn should arm wrestle Eric. Battle of the 11” pythons!

Im currently working in the earthworks trade, driving tractors/Moving dirt etc. These guys have gotten me so interested in concrete I started doing small cash jobs, That have surprisingly lasted pretty good. learned alot off this channel

Love the videos as always. Darryl is lucky to have you as a boss/friend. If he continuously messed up, no show, brakes things, etc. at any other job he would be gone. He makes an excuse every time. This would be fine if it was a rare occurrence, but given that it happens DAILY, it is beyond unprofessional and feels like he is taking advantage of your kindness.
