- Our review of the Lippert Flow-Max RV water pump. This is a VERY quiet water pump. We tested it outdoors and it only increase the ambient db level by 8db...yes only 8db. Very well made pump. Recommend for anyone looking to replace an old or broken RV water pump.

The reason they did not install a fuse is because the fuse should be installed at the power source so that it can protect the wiring to the pump. If the fuse is on the pump it only protects the pump. The wiring can still short out and never lose power.
That's where's hes talking about.... 🤔
Hows that pump holding up?? How about an update? thanks
good video , thank you
fancy outdoor pics and music and then BAM guy sitting in front of a green screen, softer transitions will help ;)
It's that for any RV
Yes.... Water pumps works same on any RV.
it's not 8db sound. it is 64 as if you had 56 and now its 64 then the new item added is 64. db's dont accumulate they go by loudest
Thanks....I didn't know that. :)
I AM A TRUCK DRIVER WITH A SHOWER IN TRUCK BUT MY SEAFLOW PUMP, CAN NOT GET IT UP TO ABKUT 7FT. HIGH, WOULD THIS MIDEL WORK ?
Sorry...I don't know the answer to that, so I can't give you confident answer.
@@tannerjim Thank You.
I find out.... what I need is the Harbor Freight brand 12V. Pump it lift up to 40ft.
Wonder if this pump is a direct replacement for our current Shurflo pump?
Yes..it will fit exactly where your current Shurflo is located. You shouldn't have to purchase anything other than the pump itself, as all the stuff you need (filter, threaded connector) come in the box....at least they did with the one I got from the link I called in in the description.
Thank you. Great video; subscribed. Looking forward to any RV-related videos.
Why would you ever buy a pump with a 5 min. duty cycle motor?
First, I don't think that was anywhere on my documents so I was not aware of that. Second, I can tell you we used it for ~10 mins straight while my wife would shower, so it might just be the mfg putting a really really really safe number on their specs. BTW...I don't see that 5 min run time listed on LCI site. We sold that RV so I can't go out and look to see if that is printed on the pump and there is no way I can remember 5 years ago. 😄
@3:34
They're not talking about teflon tape on the barbs. They're talking about teflon tape on the threads where it screws into the pump. You need hose clamps to attach flexible hose to hose barbs.
Yes, Lippert specifically writes in the install guide to not put tefton over the barbs. I am not talking about the threaded part.
Who puts Teflon tape on hose barbs? 😅😅😅
Is this possibly a rebranded SEAFLO pump (not shureflo, SEAFLO) thank you!
I wish I knew. Easy today to have many vendors buy same products and rebrand them.
@@tannerjim Yes, SEAFLO manufactures the pump for Lippert.
this video compares your pump and a sea flow, your pump has 5 min. on and 10 off

poor pump
Please show me your video, explaining why it is a "poor pump". I have had great performance from this pump
@@tannerjim first you need to show the pump in real operation then i will tell you why
@@darrenguy4300 I bought one last fall now it has burned out.
