The MMA-160R is a high-quality welding machine that convinces with its functionality. A fully thought out electric welding machine specialized in electrode welding! The light and robust welding machine enables perfect welding with an electrode up to 5 mm Ø. The control panel with digital display enables accurate and controlled welding.
Anti-Stick
The welding machine switches off automatically when the electrode is stuck.
ARC force
Increases arc stability and reduces sticking and spatter.
Hot-Start
Automatic increase of the welding current at the start of welding. This allows the arc to ignite even with problematic electrodes.

Hi guys! We use an old welder where I work, normally end welding strip steel from time to time. You're quite right, investing in tools is wise, in the right hands they pay for themselves double quick.

Slag is what you need to remove from mma and flux core welds.I think would keep that chipping hammer brush combo for scratching your back ,nice to see your busy with work and your still obsessed with planes👍

A well equipped workshop is a pleasure to see and to work in.
In my mind's eye...I could almost smell the machine oil any decent shop smells of.
I can weld. gas and electric arc, but not often and I am not the greatest at it...that 'toy' seems like a good deal.

As always you make things interesting guys I also have a full size pillar drill for my workshop "flat" I also have a miller as I was going to make my own engines before I learned to fly I made marine steam engines which are still around ,you are what we call in UK "sheet metal fabricators " yes the dark nights are a bind but as soon as spring is here we shall all be out flying.Greetings from Wales.

"Welding slag" is the English word you looking for.
With the modern MIG/MAG machines from ESAB and Fronius the machines self adjust to keep a stable arc.

I could almost smell it, when you put the visor in front of the camera. We call it slag. The flux cored wire, is a great.

I salute the slow and sexy weld! The fan in that welder sounds like a 12 blade edf on 6S! I've only done a little welding with a small mig welder. My dad was DIY welding all the time with an arc (stick) welder. I always look forward to your videos. Thank you.
