He's the best on the team he needs to just score shoot way more often and stop making everyone famous like feeding the puck ot mathews to me the one that usually is the play maker and getting the most assists should get the most and mow look what happens mathews would have never had gotten half the goals year after year not even 69 goals 75 to 80 percent of the goals come from marner period true facts i don't blame marner for being the way he is or what he says even if he acts abit childish like everyone thinks he does ...he foes way to much like kills penalties he's up and down the setting up plays picking the puck off everyone he's a defensive offensive mathews and nylander are not thats what you call a work horse no doubt mathews all he cared about was getting 70 goals how selfish is that a big baby marner has done more getting consecutive points breaking more recored s thats talent it's not about how many goals you score it's about winning where did he disappear to ohh now they are saying he may have been hurt before the playoffs bull is you ask me can't do nothing in the playoffs only cared about getting 70 goals that's it stupid trade time and free up some come on they won games 5 and 6 with out him should not have brought him back in game 7 it's why they lost a thousand percent if it was nylander everybody would be wanting him gone it's such a big joke remember if I was to score 3 goals get a hat trick well that's OK but lose 4 to3 it means nothing to score that many goals it doesn't matter unless you win...winning is winning not how many you can score I do blame the coach they should have made a wall all five player oncethey scored the first goal keep the puck out what ever it takes win game 7 and out of the first round and worry about the second round that's how you play hockey not trying to be a hero lol should used some of those 69 goals lol in the playoffs it didn't matter if you got a hundred still it garbage lol winning is winning not waiting on something to feed you the puck if can't score shoot it your self instead that's why they lost there last 4 games of the season trying to give mathews the puck to hit 70 when someone els could have shot puck themselves and scored would won at least 2 out of the 4 game at the end of the season ohh and what make him the highest paying player in the nhl because you have the most goals a Hugh dumb I'd be paying more mitch marner more then mathews for making him famous feeding him the puck a joke the media needs to stop blaming one person it's about girt heart and defensive in the playoffs not about how many goals you score because it means nothing if you can't win in the playoffs

The problem with the Leafs is not Marner, it's that goal suck, puck hog, Nylander that has a one way type of playing style, while he stands on the other teams blue line, with the puck in Toronto's end, waiting for the puck to be passed to him!!!
Or the fact that he misses three playoff games, then comes back on the four game, telling everyone else how to play, then in the second intermission, Matthews takes of his equipment and doesn't come out in the third period and takes the next two games off!!!
HOW the HELL is this team ever going to win anything when two of your highest paid players decide to take time off during the playoffs!!!
I would be getting rid of both of them saving $25 million dollars of cap space and getting 5-6 players for their trades and build around JT and Mitch, two guys from Toronto, that want to play for Toronto and show up to play!!!
They just need the right CANADIANS playing with them, ditch the rest of the NON-CANADIANS and lets go with an ALL CANADIAN TEAM!!!
