This album was about shedding the idea of “perfection” because that’s how people viewed her and embracing her sexuality as a new mom. She also became a little bit more “in your face” with the concept of feminism. This album caused a huge shift for that movement and helped to make it a mainstream conversation! It’s also the reason why albums are now released on Fridays and not Tuesdays! The beginning of the Beyoncé we have today. All the albums before this one are a different vibe but still amazing.
For 7/11 it was recorded on a iPhone and won video of the year being recorded at a hotel she was staying at shes the goat winning video of the year with just an iPhone no choreographer or nothing all that was Beyoncé and her mind she a goddess really
BLACK IS KIIIING is amaaaaazing. The parallel with the Lion King movie, the references to the African religions and mythology. And the fact that Black is King sounds like Black Skin for em is the cherry on top of it all. Get really because shes INCREDIBLY GORGEOUS on this film.
Heaven - The woman playing the friend in the music video is Ashley Everette, she was Beyonce's dance captain up to a couple years ago. Her red hair at Beyonce's shoulder was so iconic fans could spot her in all kinds of projects. While Beyonce has had/alluded to miscarriage, I believe this song was more about a friend, I know she used the song in dedication to a friend who died of an illness, maybe cancer. I don't think you're overthinking the stories, but you might be looking a little too literally. Ever since Lemonade people have looked for specific instances in her life to connect the music to, sometimes she's telling a story. It doesn't always have to be her life, but you'll pick up on the story she's telling.
Yosra El-Essawy was Beyonce world photographer, she passed away from cancer. She has also spoke on Yosra's kindness, and continued her saying #neverforgettosaythankyou
I’m surprised no one mentioned it in the comments but you skipped Grown Woman. Grown Woman wasn’t an official track on the album, but it does have a video and is part of the Self-Titled era (it was included in the videos when it dropped on iTunes.) The Grown Woman Video is so fun. It’s kinda Afro beat dance and a nice trip down memory lane. You should react to “Grown Woman” as a bookend to the Self Titled reactions.
1:48:18 “a baklava?” 😩🥺 you’re so sweet lmao this is a balaclava (bah la klaa vaa), it’s like a ski mask. a baklava is a dessert made of pastry and nuts! ❤️
I’ve been BeyHive for 21 years and experienced all of her solo eras and it’s been an amazing journey so far. Beyoncé is phenomenal, beyond words. She’s been my favorite artist since 2003 and she’s still my favorite artist in 2024 and she’ll still be my favorite artist moving forward.
Waking up to this album randomly when I was 14 (im 25 in 3 days) was life changing. Im a guy but have always felt some sort of insecurity with getting in touch with my feminity, my body, my power. This album is next to lemonade as my motivation to keep being strong.
1. For some reason, the Blow video cut out Beyonce dancing on top of the car - that’s what we wanted you to see 😂😂😂😂 you should go find the longer version of Blow and you’ll see why people think it’s sexy lol 2. You’re not overthinking. I love your rants! She has a lot of messages in her music and I’m happy you’re catching them. Yep, I think a lot of Beyhive think Heaven was about her miscarriage and losing that child 😢😢 it’s a beautiful song. 3. 94 -> 9/4 her birthday. 4. Love that you love XO. Slightly underrated song from her. Love that song and video ❤❤ 5. Love Superpower and how she collabs with people. She doesn’t just slap people on her songs. She matches their vibe. We see that on Cowboy Carter. Superpower is so Frank coded. And, yep, I think it’s about police brutality.
The woman speaking in Flawless is Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie from Nigeria. She is a renowned writer. She is the author of Half of a Yellow Sun and popular orders. She is very eloquent and spits only facts.
This release was one of the greatest weekends of my life! I saw Beyonce live for the first time in Louisville on Thursday, and she released this album as we were leaving the show! I was already on a high because we got our seats upgraded and she landed two feet in front of the us; plus she let me sing “got me twisted” during irreplaceable. A time was had! 🔥👌🏾 This album is special because it takes me back to all that joy!
Thanks for taking us back! Her vision is so magical. Blu Blu was a baby. What made you a super fan? You have to see her in concert. She’s a very hands on protector. She was like that with her nephew also. She alway had him when he was a baby.
Haunted is basically her exposing the hollywood parties, reason why it's very haunted like, and also why theirs different rooms with differnt things going on, the smoking, drinking, sensualness, etc.✨And also ghost is about the cycle they capsulate in with the idea of a 9-5, and at the end she says "probably won't make no money off of this, oh well".
Don't ever feel like you're over thinking because these are are your genuine reactions and its how the visual is making you feel. Beyoncé is a true creator and sometimes her art is in the eye of the beholder. Stoked you did this album can't wait for more
Those things really go in the world of pageantry. They even wear false teeth over their natural ones. The spray is a glue to keep the swimsuit from riding up. And, the Vaseline on the teeth is to make smiling easier. As for the beach, that is Coney Island beach in Brooklyn, New York. It's a fifteen minute drive from my house. Brooklyn was completely surprised by this because we had no idea Bey would be there until she was. BTW, love the channel. 💙
I am settling down here in Ireland for bed, the football is on, it’s a bank holiday so the hubby is having a few drinks and I’m gonna put on my headphones and watch you lose your mind! 😂🐝🐝🐝
You’re my absolute fav to watch. You are such a genuine person! I love how you appreciate Beyonce for talent! Respect is all I’ve ever asked about her!
Thank you for always giving my queen her flowers. Btw this is my favorite album❤ what a time to be alive and experience her, I remember when I found out I was taking a shower and the scream was unbelievable, my little sis told me. The day she broke internet and the day she set the standard for so many things. Greetings from México 🎉 Keep up the good work!
Thank you for these reactions! I could easily watch 4 hours from you! Can't wait for Black is King! I always say that Blow is the fun, teasing and flirty vibe in the club, Partition is the hot making out in the car on the way home, Rocket is just good old sexy love making at home 🔥Haunted will always be a favorite, Yonce is so much fun when you know the choreo, Flawless is an (underrated) female power anthem and I just can't listen to Heaven without crying ❤
Thank you so much for reacting to this! Even tho so many of your videos get blocked you still give us the content we want, and i greatly appreciate you for that. Can you pleaseee react to Beyoncé’s funny moments, she is so funny.😂 ❤
Hi, we are from Brazil and love your reactions. We laugh, fall in love, and cry with you with each video. Thank you for your videos and if possible, watch all her available works. A big hug from Brazil! 🇧🇷❤️
The videos and the music all dropped at the same time. There was also 4 docu-style videos that were with it where she explained the process of making this project
Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche is the person whose name is featured in the video for Flawless. She did a very popular Ted Talk and wrote a book called We Should All Be Feminists
Oh & PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE you gotta do a video on the HBO ON THE RUN song FOREVER YOUNG/HALO with Beyonce’ & Jay-Z. It’s roughly under 7 minutes long. I could be wrong but I think they were in Paris. You will be brought to tears 😭
1) Anybody else peep the sash in Pretty Hurts.. Looks a lot like the cowboy Carter sash.. 2) Beyonce grew up in pageantry. 3) she perfected her growl I think at 12. She actually injured her voice box and was on vocal rest all summer. She said once she went to a theme park on rides and it was "hard not to scream" lol. 4) XO was filmed in Coney Island NY, ppl around her had no idea what she was doing/saying. Only that she was there and you can tell from their reactions it was genuine. 5) a good documentary that semi sums her up is Life Is But a Dream, highly recommend!! I think its still available here on youtube. Lots of bts, childhood clips etc. 6) she had a miscarriage before Blue but Heaven was not for her miscarriage. It was dedicated to her mothers friend that passed prior. Which is why the woman in the video is older, B's age, representing their friendship. 'Heartbeat' is about her miscarriage and was not officially released to the public however, you can hear snippets of it on her documentary film. 7) 2:11:58 you can see a baby blue on the bed lol
On the XO music video I love that Bey pulled in one of the TMZ cameramen in the shot and he got to be in the video for a split second lol they showed him on the show lol he was gassed about it
The guy is Luke James and yes it’s LA, Hawthorne to be exact. It’s an old abandon mall!! It really is fun watching you experienced the albums and videos for the first time. 🎉😅😊
This remains my favorite Beyoncé album. Though Renaissance, Cowboy Carter and B’Day are just right behind it. All very good to excellent albums. I appreciate 4 and Lemonade even if I like them a decent amount less.
You gotta listen to the extended versions of both Rocket and Mine. After Beyoncé says “damn” in Rocket there’s a whole nother, I guess, third verse. If you haven’t already you should react to the whole song 😏 In the extended version of Mine, Drake has a whole nother rap verse at the very end with a bit of a beat change. You should react to that as well. There’s so many captions in it lol
I'd been listening to her since Destiny's Child and enjoyed her singles as a solo artist, but this was the first album of hers I actually bought and turned me from a casual who really liked a lot of her songs into a full-on fan. Because I'm a visual person. That's how she got me. And I've been locked in ever since.

Just know Beyoncé watches across all platforms…don’t be surprised if you pop up on a tour or documentary 🤣🤣🤣
The lemonade era really revealed that about her honestly LOL
Well I hope she sees how much I love her
Fun fact, she's bad in the kitchen 😂 that's the only things that she doesn't like @JUKEJAMS
@beyonce @beyonce @beyonce

Has no one requested the “Black is King” film? 👀 it’s the visuals for her “The Gift” album…it always gets slept on 😩
I was watching the videos from it the other day and the visuals are sickening 😩
Omg yessss
literally so slept on. everyone always counts BIK out and idk why. such beautiful visuals
i love how you appreciate Beyonce's talent and artisty! she is truly beyond an icon and a legend.
She's 1 of 1
You and Beyoncé are married in my dreams and are my adoptive parents. 😊
Lmao!! Sounds like a wonderful life to me :)
41:00 she has said multiple times she can’t cook😂🤷🏾♀️
🤣
Lol the video of her watching back video footage and she says "I look like I can't cook, that's accurate" is so funny to me.
But she paints! Her father has been quoted as saying she can paint as well as she can sing.
Im brazilian watcher! And this visuals are so important to us! Bey loves Brazil and we love her to much!!!

Heaven always makes me think of my mum. I wish I could have her tell me if Im doing ok. This song always touches me
