Wasn’t really hyped for luna’s Howl at first but after using it. It is really good. It feels good and has good perks. I don’t know if it dethrones zaouli’s but it is up there .

If you’re looking for a magnificent howl build in PvE then I highly recommend using subsistence. If you use incandescent and either a backup mag or a perk to bring the mag size over 10 subsistence will load 2 shots back into the mag for every kill with Luna’s. Not to mention when it becomes enhanceable and the artifact perks go away it will be moved up to 3 bullets per kill. Magnificent Howl will only activate on a manual reload so you can essentially keep Luna’s Howl at 10x Precision kills stacks with a full mag with subsistence then you can manual reload to get magnificent howl bullets on demand when necessary.
The two combos I’ve been using most are heal clip / incandescent and the above mentioned Sub / Mag Howl. They’re both useful for different things but they’re really worth going after

Ya idk why he said subsistence on a hand cannon is bad. Its one of if not the best ammo economy perks on a hand cannon. With enhanced subsistence and extended mag i get 3 ammo per kill on word of crota. I literally stripped the weapon of the need to reload completely in normal content. How is heal clip that requires me to reload better?

I also have 2 Heal Clip + Mag. Howl which is broken in PVP
Managed to get an shiny heal clip / incandescent roll during a regular run of onslaught now back to grinding envious / bait & switch on edge transit
I took a sub/incan into onslaught you don’t need to reload the kills from Incan trigger sub.

I'm still using Zaoli's. Bigger mag, already enhanced perks and I don't really care about the "goofy reload"
close to getting my god roll. got 3/5 just needed corkscrew and flared mag
Just landed a Shiny Heal Clip/Incandescent, Mag Howl with Range MW! So happy and lucky!! But I still use my Zauoli’s bane too!

I never got a zaoulis but was super hyped for lunas return and after getting my heal clip incandescent roll I am never taking it off
After getting a max reload heal clip + incandescent roll on Luna’s, I swear it’s the quickest I’ve ever accumulated kills on a weapon ever. 6k kills in four days and I ain’t even playing that long each day.

Yeah. Had to put away Luna in harder content.
It’s a tough choice between Zaoli’s and Luna’s. They gave Luna’s different perks but it’s still an interesting decision. I think that is a really great thing.

Zaoulis just does more damage, lunas has more synergy with solar builds and such
Was using the heal clip + incandescent roll, but am bored AF with solar builds. Much prefer new roll of heal clip + kill clip + max reload (all synergises beautifully), plus range MW and 100 recoil. Feels solid and strong
Honestly, Luna's Howl with Heal Clip Incandescent has OVERTAKEN my Adept Zaouli's Bane in terms of usage
After getting used to how it feels
It was fantastic

I got the HC+Incandescant roll. I still think Zaouli's is likely better. I'll need to try Luna's in endgame content to really see.
In master level content Luna’s with any of its perk combinations hits like a wet noodle.
Subsistence on a hand cannon is great. You have appended mag it gives 2 back per kill. On my word of crota with extended i get 3 back per kill. So why wouldnt you recommend subsistence on a hand cannon? I literally shoot forever on my word of crota in content like normal raids and dungeons. Only in gms and legend onslaught is that useless. Then again most primaries are useless in that content anyways so there's no point to be made there. Heal clip on a hand cannon is the bad perk if there was one. Anything that involves reloading is bad on hand cannons be ause of the bad speed. Perks like subsistence that prevent you having to reload or make it faster are the good perks.
