Something I noticed about Memphis in this video, she has a bit of Shelby in her in the fact that Memphis didn’t leave Kira’s side when she came home. It reminds me of when Oakley has her first fatty lump removed and there’s a shot in that video where Oakley is just “thud, I’m out, too many drugs”, and Shelby is right next to her. This felt like something very similar to that and it melted my heart.

Kira seems to be doing well. I had a boxer years ago that cried alot at night. Made for some very long nights. Kira will be up running around before you know it.

That was interesting. Of all your dogs Kira looks to have handled the affects of anesthesia the best. She was less groggy than Shelby, Oakley or Memphis. And Memphis is such a caring and protective big sister! I don't recall Shelby or Oakley being that protective of Memphis when she had surgery. I wish Kira a speedy recovery 🙏.

Aaaawww! I know how you feel, Kira! I've had about 4 or 5 surgeries, and the effects from the anesthetic can be a pain in the rear. It doesn't last very long, though. 😊 She looks so cute snuggled up in Shiloh's bed, too! And it's sweet of Memphis to be keeping an eye on her and offering her a toy. They're both such sweet and beautiful girls!

I agree, but Shelby always did that even when she was the baby of the pack. Memphis never do that when she was young. Just an observation.
