    So is the balloon any different from the straws, or is the balloon just there to make the straws flex?
    What I mean is are we supposed to imagine that all of the muscle in this model is a bunch of muscle fibers?

    If this is the concept, it takes a baloon to go full size before the arms get to fully fold. Whereas in the human body, even a non muscular man can fold their arms easily.
