@@Nightmaresc5 There's no 5th Cold Steel. If you're referring to Hajimari (Reverie), we're getting that next year! But I feel ya. Kuro 2 announced, and we don't even have Hajimari or Kuro in the states. They've been quicker with the localizations though. Plus, we're finally getting 4 LOH games by 2023: Azure, Zero, Hajimari and Nayuta. You can play them with Geofield's overlays though and it's super intuitive! That's what I did w/ Hajimari and Kuro. I'll still be picking up the Western release when it comes out though.

Is good that they improve the turns UI. The first one is kinda confusing especially when you don't know whether the current character's delay will be before or after the enemy
I think tha when they translate this game, FFXVI will be already out. They made a PS4 game, and not release it until the pS5 already exists... Which makes me think Kuro either won't be released at all, or will be a PS5 exclusive in the West

It has not been stated if Elaine is a main character or not, currently only Van and Agnès have been clearly stated to being main characters in Kuro 2. All that is really known is that Elaine and Van will work together in the prologue.

Unfortunately, Kuro didn't have the best of sales in Japan. Likely due to there being no school system like Cold Steel. This game is very dark in terms of Kieski games which probably didn't help. It'll do much better in the west for sure as dark themes are bread and butter in the west. Right now, both Crossbell games and Hajimari will be out before this game, so realistically, we're looking at 2025 minimum.

I came over to the trails series because all my favorites switched from turned based to action rpg, now they are doing, why!!!!!! Hopefully they aren't done with turned based that would be sad indeed.
At its core it’s still a turn based game. The live action battle is just for short skirmishes or obtaining advantages. You can swap to the turn based at any time.

The game is looking more flashy and poppy which is nice and while is cool and all that they are giving us more options for the action segments I doubt it's gonna be something crazy in my book we won't see a true hybrid until the ending of this arc (depending on how long it will be) or the next arc and that's even if they decide to go that route and while I personally wouldn't have much problem with a true hybrid I think they should just stick with turned based (for the most part) since that's what gives it that charm also if it isn't broke why fix it besides they already have a dedicated action rpgs in Ys and Tokyo Xanadu it will be redundant and silly to just add another one into the mix

I think it looks like late PS3/early PS4. But the shading is pretty great and more like how anime games can look like, and character likeness is faithful to their anime design.

Though, the more I think about it, I think only the animation is clunky and the special effect is dated. I think why people think the graphic can be dated because it's an anime game and it's not cel-shaded. Anime games these day have cel-shaded texture, but this game is not look that way.

Boss Fights they keep it strictly turn based. At least for the first 1 they did. Maybe they might mix it up in this game
