BUILT YEAR 1983.
This ship is pretty old so the condition of ship looks messy and old.
Everytime some Maintenance is going on so the Workshop is looking messed up. I am extremely Sorry for this !
ENGINE ROOM OF TANKER SHIP IN DETAIL
Main Machineries are as follows
Main Engine - Sulzer 5 RLA 56
Generator - Diahatsu 6 DK 20
Main Air Compressor - Sauer
Purifier - Westfalia GEA
Water Tube Boiler - Volcano
Cargo Pump - Framo
Our Main Engine is coupled with CPP system.
I tried covering each and every Machinery of this Engine Room in Detail as well as Main Engine and Different types of tanks.
There are so many Pumps like Main Sea water Pump, Piston Cooling Pump, Jacket Cooling Water Pump, Lub Oil Pump, Lub Oil Crosshead Pump, Fire and General Services Pump , Fuel Oil Booster Pump and Fuel Transfer Pump.
I also covered Emergency Fire Pump which is driven by 6 Cylinder Diesel Engine. This Emergency Fire Pump was located Outside of Engine Room in Steering Gear Room as per Regulations.
Our Alternator and Steering Gear Motor was getting Hot so we made forced Air Circulation with the help of Axial Blower and Ducts.
This Sulzer 5 RLA 56 MARINE 2 STROKE CROSSHEAD ENGINE has 5 Cylinder producing 6325 BHP @ 150 RPM.
Each Diahatsu Generator has 6 Cylinder IN LINE configuration producing 720 KW @ 700 RPM. This generator was very good.

It was an old ship still using LOOP system.. Plenty in maintenance especially during under piston cleaning. Scavenge space are lot to be check and clean especially the scavenging group valves..
